Love, Loyalty and Perseverance

Love, Loyalty and Perseverance

I often question why we exist. Bender my 19 year old who we had to say goodbye to at Christmas, existed to show me what love, loyalty and perseverance looks like. I do miss him a lot.

But I have my amazing team now.

This is what our CMO Joshua S. wrote about Why "We" Exist

At meetmagic, our fundamental reason for existence is to make sure the world is in a better state tomorrow, than what it is today. We achieve that by connecting the business world via meetings that matter, and conversations that count. We bring together purpose-led humans to make a positive impact on social, health, and environmental issues from the comfort of their workplace, with a business practice they are familiar with. Namely, the humble meet & greet.

And the best part, no-one has to change the way they work or do business.

By building a market network that is human-centred and purpose-led we simultaneously solve multiple unconnected problems for network participants, namely:

  • Help new Business Partners access hard to reach business leaders and decision makers (think of this as replacing traditional, and costly, lead generation tactics).
  • Enable Corporate Executives to access innovation and technology vendors on a centralised and searchable platform (think of this as replacing hours of research, analysis, and recommendation gathering) .
  • Both tailored and automated meeting brokerage and support services for both parties (think of this as customisable meeting management)
  • Increased revenue streams for local and global charity partners that make a meaningful impact towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
  • Measurable contribution towards Corporate Social Responsibility outcomes without additional discretionary effort.

These problems are solved by connecting global business, technology, and innovation communities to meet with each other and trade time spent together for charitable donations. The platform connects business executives to an innovation and technology marketplace. Vendors in the marketplace can request to “buy” a “meet & greet” with a selected executive target; and if accepted a fee is paid by pitching vendors in the form of a donation or carbon offset. The market network enables vetted vendors to access business executives and decision makers in a lean-in environment built on shared points of agreement; namely:

  • A mutual understanding of an anti-sales approach. Meetings are to explore problems and suggest solutions.
  • Respect for being purpose-led and mutual commitment to leave the world in a better state than what we found it in. Acknowledging that there is no reason to not simultaneously conduct business and help make a sustainable social impact on charities, not for profits, and for-purpose organisations.
  • Appreciation that the market network is closed but designed to foster the true spirit of business networks - mutually beneficial outcomes.

By deploying the network to the business community, meetmagic is attempting to contribute $250M to charity partners by 2030 and have a major impact on the United Nations Social Development Goals.

I read that when dogs pass, they wait for you, so when you pass, they are there to greet you. How good does that feel :)
