Madeline Riley Shares Future Plans For Radisson RED Galway
In this week's edition, the Radisson Hotel Group recently announced plans for its first RED hotel in Ireland – in Galway City.
The hotel is scheduled to open its doors later this year, with 177 rooms, each reflecting Radisson RED’s vibrant style and design, and incorporating art, music and fashion.
The hotel will offer more than 400 square metres of meeting and event space on the lower-ground floor, including a 300-square-metre conference space, which can be split into two individual meeting rooms.

Oliver Dunne Restaurants
Oliver Dunne Restaurants has announced the grand opening of ONE Ballsbridge Bar & Restaurant, which is set to open to the public on September 25 in Dublin 4.
ONE Ballsbridge Bar & Restaurant aims to celebrate 'conscious gastronomy and culinary creativity' and will create 70 new jobs in the hospitality sector.
This adds to the 250 staff members already employed across the group.
"This being the tenth venue is something special for me, I can honestly say it’s the first time we didn’t hold back and its going to be spectacular, the jewel in the crown,” said Oliver Dunne.

Dunbrody Famine Ship
The new Dunbrody Famine Ship visitor experience in New Ross, Co. Wexford, was officially opened last week by Taoiseach Simon Harris.
This enhanced visitor experience follows an investment of €1.6 million from the Department of Rural and Community Development, Fáilte Ireland, and Wexford County Council.
"This attraction was already a key part of the tourism offering in Wexford and Ireland’s Ancient East and these upgrades offer a new immersive visitor experience that tells the important story of our emigrant past, while also boosting the local economy," said Paul Kelly, CEO of Fáilte Ireland.

'Breaking Point'
The Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI) is calling on the government to urgently address the 'severe challenges' facing the pub industry.
The federation has warned that without targeted support measures in the upcoming Budget on October 1, many pubs across the country risk closure, leaving a lasting impact on communities and the economy.
“The pub trade in Ireland is at a breaking point," said Pat Crotty, chief executive of the VFI.
The VFI has called for a reduction of 7.5% in excise duty, a reduction in the hospitality VAT rate to 9%, a reduction in Employer’s PRSI, a reduction in VAT Rate from 23% to 21%, and for the Living Wage introduction to be paused.
