THERE IS NO MAGIC WAND

At this time of year as a child everything seems magic!

As an adult we soon find out that it is our parents who put the magic into Christmas or any other event for us!

"You will get nothing for nothing"

"You only get out what you put in"

What I wouldn't give for a £1 for every time I heard one of those phrases!

However, £1 or not those phrases do have an element of truth!

Some of you will have read the Secret and Ask and It is Given by Ester and Jerry Hicks.

Take these books literally and it will sound that all we have to do is make a wish and sit back and wait for the magic to take place, read them deeper and you will see that there has to be some input from you to bring about that which you wished for.

Even then if we do not consider the external elements, keep our thoughts positive and take the necessary steps each day believing that our wish will be granted then we will wait around until the end of time.

When we take into account those external elements, banish all our doubts and have the faith, love and trust needed then the outcome most probably will be what we are wanting.

This however could take years, especially when someone else is part of that dream.

For example about six/seven years ago I wanted to go and live in Spain, now this would entail moving not just me but my husband too who wasn't that keen!

However, we did go and live in Almeria for a month, loved it and decided that we would be transferring our lives abroad.

It didn't happen, for there was an external element that effected our decision - Brexit!

No sooner had we accepted the fate that leaving the EU brought than we were hit with the Covid pandemic.

My husband then played with my emotions (not intentionally) but one minute it was happening the next it wasn't, in the end I said to him let's just forget about it!

It wasn't discussed again for many months, probably a couple of years but I never gave up on my dream to live in a warmer climate and kept a positive mindset.

We still visited Spain and then low and behold this year whilst sat eating tapas my husband looked at me and said "We are going to do it!"

"Do what?" I said - "Move to Spain!" he replied.

So that dream was back out in the open my patience it seemed was going to pay off but there was still a lot for us to do before that would be possible.

Well that is what I thought!

First we needed to check out an area of Spain that as yet we hadn't visited, my husband's friends lived close by and we thought it might be prudent to move to somewhere where we knew someone.

Then on researching moving to Spain my husband found that Portugal might be a better find.

We duly booked a holiday in both the areas and returned home from Spain just over a week ago.

Our Portugal holiday has been cancelled, a deposit has been paid and soon we will be the owners of our very own villa in Spain.

I have found the same with money - for example my coach was going to running an intense coaching course for just a few of her clients of course I wanted to attend this yet when she invited me I said "I can't afford it!"

"Do you really want to do it Kay?"

Of course my answer was yes, "Then you will find the money!"

She was correct for I didn't miss one payment for that course and now I am finding the same amount to do another two courses with her because I believed in what she said, I believe in myself and know that I am worthy of doing these things however that doesn't mean to say that I don't have to put the work in to keep my mindset positive for there are some squeaky bum moments when the money doesn't seem to be there and then miraculously appears in my account!
