DATA-RECOVERY simply & understandably explained!

Below is an example of how the Ontrack data recovery engineers at the Swiss data recovery centre in Wallisellen use their know-how and industry-leading proprietary technologies and tools to professionally recover our customers' data in optimal quality on a daily basis:

Imagine.......

Every file, every photo/picture, every video and every document on your device consists of at least 1,000 puzzle pieces each...that quickly adds up to several million (or many more) individual puzzle pieces.

After a data loss.....

most of these puzzle pieces are usually still there, but..... the puzzle pieces are now all unsorted and mixed up wildly - the result - a gymnasium filled to the ceiling with many millions of unsorted puzzle pieces.

The data recovery........

The Ontrack data recovery engineers work in 4 optimally coordinated stages/steps using technologies developed in-house:

1st. Step: our specialists collect and sort the puzzle pieces according to recognisable similarities such as size of the pieces, colour, interfaces, colour on the back, etc.

2nd Step: The most time-consuming part is certainly the reassembly of the pieces, so that complete files that are recognisable by the operating system or the applications are created again, i.e. the images and data that were there before a data loss. For these complex and time-consuming tasks, Ontrack specialists use tools developed in-house, which guarantee high efficiency and final quality.

3rd Step: Anyone who deals with puzzles knows the problem, often individual pieces are missing or severely damaged, making it impossible to complete the puzzle. In these cases, Ontrack specialists try to replace missing pieces or repair damaged pieces in the best possible way, so that as much of the missing data as possible can be restored completely and fully functional and made available to the customer.

4th Step: Finally, a final quality check is carried out and all the assembled puzzle images and the recovered data are safely stored for transport. This means that we hand over all recovered data to our clients on a password-encrypted & secured external data carrier.

unique aditional valiues: In addition to the proprietary Ontrack solutions developed in-house, the global just-in-time development department is another unique competitive advantage that Ontrack can offer, especially to corporate clients or clients with complex data loss scenarios. Thanks to a worldwide pool of Ontrack specialists, Ontrack can respond specifically to individual customer situations and, if necessary, develop customer-specific solutions to problems in a timely manner.
