AS1562.1 is now a compliance pathway for both roofing and cladding, and many metal wall cladding panel systems won't meet the new requirements. But with our TBA Firefly solid aluminium panels, you can rest assured that your building is safe and compliant.
AS1562.1 requires that aluminium wall cladding be grade 5251 or 5052, with a minimum base metal thickness of 0.7 mm. This means that 3 or 4 mm solid aluminium panels that are not grade 5251 or 5052, or composite panels with a base metal thickness less than 0.7 mm, will need to prove compliance with F3P1 Weatherproofing through a Performance Solution.
