It is estimated that by 2030, this number will increase by 20%.

C4Diabetes Joint Action aims to to strengthen strategies for the treatment of diabetes and to enhance sharing best practices among EU countries. It also focuses on increasing patients’ well-being and quality of life.
Health4EU kids Joint Action focuses on prevention strategies for child obesity across EU countries by promoting best practices and research results, with a particular focus on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland.
With a budget of 53M and involving 21 EU countries as well as Ukraine, Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes (JACARDI) focuses on tackling cardiovascular diseases and diabetes in Europe. It aims to do so through raising awareness, improving screening, and providing support to patients and their care providers.

DC-ren is working on creating a computational tool for personalised drug therapies targeting Type 2 diabetes patients with complicated kidney comorbidities.
