Mass Photometry: A new way of characterizing biomolecules

Refeyn will be hosting a Lunch & Learn event with the IBBR graduate program (Mark Schenerman) this Wednesday, September 27 at 12:00-1:00 p.m.  The event is open to students, faculty, and local industry.  Lunch will be provided by USG catering partners for this hour-long presentation. Register Here

If you are in the Rockville, MD area, please join us this Wednesday to learn how MASS PHOTOMETRY is opening up new possibilities for bioanalytics and research into the functions of biomolecules.

Background:

Refeyn pioneers a new generation of analytical instrumentation for rapidly measuring the mass of single molecules, viruses, and other particles. Based on innovative mass photometry technology, Refeyn instruments have diverse applications – including quantification of sample purity and homogeneity, monitoring of biomolecular complex assembly and disassembly, measurement of the strength and kinetics of molecular interactions, and much more. Mass photometry detects the light scattered by single molecules in solution, delivering label-free mass measurements over a broad mass range with high precision and exquisite sensitivity. Refeyn was founded in 2018 and its instruments are now found in more than 200 laboratories globally. With speed, versatility, and ease of use, Refeyn instruments are transforming analytical workflows in laboratories across the life sciences and biopharma.

Agenda:

Noon – 1pm presentation by Refeyn’s Applications Scientist, Austin Graves (Building 4 IV-5312, 9631 Gudelsky Dr).

Parking Instructions:

Attendees will need to park in the Traville Gateway Garage (9638 Gudelsky Dr, Rockville, MD 20850).  A map of the USG campus can be found here.
