Mastercard, a global payment processing corporation, has announced a new batch of companies joining Start Path Crypto, its Web3 engagement program that helps blockchain, crypto, and digital asset startups scale. Read more 

  • The engagement program is part of Mastercard Start Path, a six-month accelerator program for fintech startups launched in 2014. The accelerator program has seen more than 350 companies from 40 countries participate in total since its inception.
  • Connected with 90 million merchants worldwide, Mastercard believes its experience in securing multiple payment rails will enable crypto companies to operate safely in the market.

Web3 infrastructure startup Tenderly takes on Infura, Alchemy with new node offering [Via Yahoo News]

  • Web3 developer tooling startup Tenderly is getting into the node game with a new product it announced today called Web3 Gateway. The product will help web3 developers read, stream and analyse blockchain data, according to the company.
  • The offering builds on the company's observability stack, which it says indexes over nine billion transactions across more than 20 blockchain networks.

Web3 Browser Opera Offering New NFT Analytics Tool [Via Coindesk]

  • Web3 browser Opera has launched DegenKnows, a new non-fungible token (NFT) analytics, tracking and exploration tool that includes on- and off-chain analytics.The new tool aims to help users navigate NFT projects and gain access to insights from the social media community.
  • Besides regular on-chain data analysis such as individual transactions, DegenKnows is intended to provide users with off-chain data from social media sources, including Twitter and Discord.

Dementia Australia’s Cutting Edge Technology Praised In The 2022 Future of Ageing Awards  [Via Tech News]

  • Dementia Australia’s status as a pioneer in dementia education using cutting edge technology was recognised this week at the 2022 Future of Aging Awards with two outstanding achievements.
  • An artificial intelligence avatar named “Talk With Ted” was awarded first place in the Dementia Care category for its ability to teach care workers how to better communicate and care for people with dementia.
  • The judges awarded Talk with Ted the highest score of any entry in all categories, calling it a “hugely impressive program.”

Australian MMA fighters first to test virtual reality concussion technology  [Via ABC]

  • Australian Canadian company NeuroFlex uses virtual reality (VR) technology to take accurate readings of eye movements and establish a baseline of participants' brain health.
  • Athletes are then tested against this baseline following a head injury to establish when the brain has healed and whether it is safe to return to competitive sport.

Microsoft extends aid for Ukraine's wartime tech innovation  [Via abc]

  • Microsoft's financial commitment of more than $400 million enables the Ukraine government and other organisations to continue using the Microsoft cloud and its public data centres across Europe, the company’s president, Brad Smith, announced at the annual Web Summit tech conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
