Mastery of Time Management
Good Evening All My Lovely Friends,
After spending a two weeks on this, I have tried my best to give you something better than so many things. So it’s my humble request to you all to go through it and give your comments and share if you like it and correct me wherever required.
No one has nothing new to say but everyone try to say the same things in a different way which may help you to influence your heart to make yourself engage in to it like a TIME MANAGEMENT. This message beautifully arranged together in their proper place - like a fine garland or a bouquet of the choicest flowers...
First of all I must mention that I firmly believe that there is no self generated concept called time management. When I heard of time management I started thinking that why people are in the chaos of time management. So while thinking a lot I came to a conclusion that there must be a two problem out of which one is - there is less time or second is - we are not organized.
Now we will focus on first problem i.e. there is less time. Now what I believe is that while giving time to each one of us god has not done any partiality. God has given equal time to Mr. Narendra Modiji or Mr. Barack Obamaji and us than how they are able to manage entire country by managing their time and we are not able to manage our work just because failing to do time management. So the first question does not make any sense that there is a less time.
The first important things which we need to understand that as a human we
cannot control the speed, stop or change the time. Hence it is clear that time never does the changes based on our requirement.
Now when we understand that time is not going to make any changes than we
should be enough capable to understand that it is time for us to make necessary changes in ourselves to meet the requirement. Therefore it is very clear now that the first problem is not valid i.e. there is a less time.
As the first problem is not valid so we will focus on second problem i.e. we are not organized. Once we accept it, It simply means the time management concept is not self generated it is created. it is created by those who are not organized, who are not planned, who do not act on their life, who do not want to come out of their comfort zone, who failed to priorities their work or the things which needs to be done, Who themselves are the one who stops their growth. As most of the human always feels that always time says wait for some more time and waiting always says give me some more time. So while thinking of this I started realizing that it is all about self organizing or self-management that means once we organize ourselves than time automatically gets manage.
Now we will try to understand how we will be able to organize ourselves in a simple way.
Now the question is how one should organize self. And the answer for this is Prioritization of our work effectively, assignments or things which needs to be done effectively and on time. Because most of the people who face the problem of time management is actually fails to prioritize their assignments effectively. As they give more focus or they spent more energy on unimportant task just because they are easy once or it does not disturb their comfort zone. Or most of the time they fail to identify the time thieves, Time is the precious resource on this planet as it is non-renewable resource so we must aware of time thieves. Hence please start identifying time thieves as they are the ones who do not willing to work and has nothing to do with us but just want to pass on their time. Keep those away from you.
Now we will focus on how to priorities assignments as prioritization is the essential skill that helps us to utilize or make effective use of our time. It's mostly important when time is limited and demands are seemingly unlimited. It helps us to allocate our time where it's most-needed and most wisely spent, because it has been wisely said that “THINGS WHICH MATTERS MOST MUST NEVER BE AT THE MERCY OF THINGS WHICH MATTERS LEAST – By ROBIN SHARMA.”
The best thing is that everything doesn’t not happen at once in life. So we get time to priorities our assignments based on their importance and urgency. With good prioritization (and careful management of re-prioritized assignments) we can bring order to chaos, massively reduce stress, and move towards a successful conclusion. Without it, we'll flounder around and will not be able to reach where we want to.
So many times I heard people to say that time is money but I never believe on this because I believe time is more than money, I know you may think how does it possible – so let me clear my thought that why the time is more than money because once you give you money to someone may probably get back or earn back but once you give your time you never get back or earn back. We always see that people keep hopes from God but in this case even god won’t help you.
Now coming to the prioritization, please follow the following process which can provide you a simplified way to make a decisions about how you spend your time on any given day or week.
Start writing down the list of the things which needs to be done by separating them in following four criteria. As you add items to your to-do lists, gather them in this checklist.
- Urgent – Important.
- Important – Not urgent.
- Urgent – Not Important.
- Not Urgent – Not Important.
Use the checklist to create a predictable workflow. For example, spend your mornings on urgent - important tasks. Or complete Important - not urgent tasks, Use this list to keep yourself from burning out. If you are having a particularly stressful week, set your goals on accomplishing just the items in the upper two points. You now no longer have to feel bad about putting off the not important, not urgent items until tomorrow, next week… or next month. This list can also provide a common language for communicating with your team. You can name each of the points, for example, and everyone will be on the same page about the priority of an assignment. This is how simple it is.
IN PRIORITIZATION THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS REMEMBERING THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS.
It is most important to do right things in right order than to do the things right.
I have two news for you guys out of which one is bad and one is good. So I will give you bad news first and then good news.
THE BAD NEWS IS TIME FLIES AND THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU ARE THE PILOT!
LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST - DON’T RUN AFTER TIME, ALWAYS RUN AHEAD OF TIME.
