May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day message from ULUSKON President Atasoy
In her message, Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of ULUSKON, said, "I congratulate the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day of our workers and all our laborers who earn their bread with their labor. We are all aware and know that May 1st, which is accepted as the 'Common Day of Workers', is an important date that gives our brothers and sisters who earn their bread with the sweat of their brow, the opportunity to make their voices heard. I see May 1st as a day when all the problems in working life are put on the table, all the solution proposals and demands are evaluated with an understanding of encouraging unity and solidarity. I believe that labor day should be celebrated with an understanding that everyone regards labor is sacred thing for all of us. On this May 1st, which is the day of labor and laborers, where solidarity, goodness, unity and solidarity are praised, I sincerely congratulate the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day of all workers in the world, especially the laborers of our country. I am of the opinion that each of our laborers should receive their rights before their sweat dries on their foreheads. All segments of working class, from mines to workshops, from fields to factories, should be able to live a life that is worthy of human dignity by receiving rewards for their labor. I know that our state bureaucracy and relevant political institutions continue to make legislative improvements that would bring the required living standards to our employees in our country. In this context, as ULUSKON, we continue to be the voice of our employees and to provide the necessary support to the relevant units of our state. I congratulate the May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day, which is celebrated all over the world as a day of unity, solidarity and struggle against injustice, which is a symbol of seeking rights in democratic and peaceful ways, which has a great share in the growth, progress and achievement of our country with its labor force."
