“Just wire me the money and I’ll get this shipped right out to you…”

My wife was shopping for a Sea-Can – a used shipping container to store some of our stuff until we decide where to ship it and our kids are ready to receive some of the contents.

One fellow out of Vancouver tells her to wire the funds before he’ll ship. But that sounded dodgy to her so she told the seller that her brother-in-law was nearby and what was the address so he could confirm the quality of the unit.

Dead silence after he hung up.

“Caveat emptor” (buyer beware) is a good thought to have for any purchase – especially when buying online. From a first-time vendor.

Maybe the guy was legitimate. But it was hard to tell. And there didn’t appear to be many reviews – that were trustworthy.

Here some facts you may know but haven’t implemented a solution.

• 85% of consumers trust online reviews about businesses as much as personal recommendations! Your online rating could be the reason you are not obtaining as many visitors, calls or appointments as you should.
