Measures to Contain Uganda's Primates from COVID19

Bwindi has over 459 out of 1063 gorillas remain in the world, In Bwindi the Gorillas live in upto 50 different groups each with a dominant Silverback. These species are prone to some respiratory illnesses that afflict humans. A common cold can kill a gorilla, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature, one reason why tourists tracking gorillas are not normally permitted to get too close. With the current situation Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has taken a move to contain #COVID19 in Uganda's Wildlife protected areas. UWA has suspended primate tourism & research among other measures
