How long have you been working at Nortera?

I joined Nortera in August 2021 as a five-month intern in the supply chain department. During my internship, I had the opportunity to explore different aspects of the job, such as demand planning and forecasting. After the internship was over, I continued to work part-time for a year while finishing my studies. This meant that I always stayed up-to-date on the company’s projects. Thanks to the flexibility that Nortera offers, I was able to balance work and my education. In January 2023, after my graduation, Nortera offered me a permanent position!

Why did you join Nortera?

As a business student, I knew I wanted to work in an industry that would have a positive impact on people, such as food. Nortera’s mission appeals to me. For me, work should be meaningful, which is why working for a company that promotes healthy, fresh, local products year-round resonates with me.

What made the difference for you in the hiring process?

I liked that I talked to multiple people (recruiter, VP of supply chain, HR associate, my future manager, etc.). I felt that the process was serious and that the company was sincere about developing young talent.

What do you like most about working at Nortera?

My colleagues! I work with many people from different departments. There is a culture of mutual support that boosts performance. In addition, we have fun at work. People are smiling; we see that our social activities have a positive impact. There is a lot of collaboration between the different departments. The vice-president of my department works with me in the open area of the office. You don’t feel the hierarchy.

Why would you recommend Nortera to your network?

For the flexibility that hybrid work offers. My boss works from the US, which doesn’t stop us from working well. We have adapted well to the hybrid mode. The work-life balance is also encouraged: if we have an appointment, we are given the necessary time. In addition, Nortera has adopted eco-friendly policies. For example, the cost of public transportation is partially covered by the company. And the offices are really fun! The open areas, the premises, the fitness centre, the bike racks… Everything is there to make you feel really comfortable.
