Meet the PixelPool global team
Viktoria Radanova has put her experience in the fashion industry to work at PixelPool where she serves as a Virtual Fashion Specialist in the Sofia, Bulgaria office.
What did you study and why?
I studied Fashion Design and slowly moved into the fashion industry in Bulgaria. Fashion design and working in the fashion industry was my passion for many years and pursuing a career in it is what I had always wanted. Gradually, however, I began to feel troubled by certain issues in fashion.
What drew you to your current job at PixelPool?
As an advocate for sustainability, it felt hypocritical to be involved an industry that was contributing to so much waste and pollution. I realized I needed to branch out and started looking in other directions, but I still admired the creative and artistic aspects of fashion. Around the same time, a close friend of mine with a similar background introduced me to what PixelPool was doing in digital samples and virtual fashion. I got interested in the idea and the rest is history.

What is your favorite part of your job?
The most exciting part of my day is seeing all the creativity and craftsmanship of my colleagues. I still get excited about the designs, but the skills used in making a 3D model seem so realistic - those never fail to amaze me.
Which person in your profession do you most admire and why?
I admire all of the people working around me because I get to witness the progress all the way to the end result, which is much more exciting than just seeing the result itself. The skills, the problem-solving and sometimes unconventional methods used to achieve a desired look are truly admirable. You don’t usually get to see this with a 3D artist outside your area of expertise.
What excites you about the future of PixelPool?
I think that the future of PixelPool is very bright since not only someone like me who has a passion for the industry, but also consumers, are becoming more and more aware of the impact the fashion industry is having on the planet. Brands need now, more than ever, to start using sustainable practices. I’m excited to get to see new designers and ideas pass through the skilled hands of the artists at PixelPool.
