Meet Rita Ventisette, Responsible for the Technical Compliance group at Dumarey Flowmotion Technologies

Today, we have the pleasure of chatting with Rita Ventisette , who is responsible for the Technical Compliance group at Dumarey Flowmotion Technologies , to learn more about her and her challenges in the company.

Rita started her journey in the automotive industry as an Application Engineer, transitioning into Project Management and taking on responsibilities that led to a global role in customer project development and launch across America, Europe, and Asia.

She then had the opportunity to broaden her experience by joining the Quality function, where she headed the department of project quality managers, and ultimately took on the responsibility for the Technical Compliance group.

Rita, could you explain what Product Technical Compliance entails?

Product compliance is a very sensitive topic as it deals with safety and sustainability for both consumers and the environment. It is the process that ensures products meet all necessary regulations and standards, starting with their relevant assessment of applicability.

This is a complex and ever-changing area, and manufacturers must stay up to date with the latest requirements. Furthermore, compliance must be monitored once the product is on the market.

Non-compliance can result in product recalls, penalties, and reputation damage, as compliance regulations come with legal consequences.

What challenges or peculiarities do you see in adhering to product compliance?

In a global market landscape, the major challenge for manufacturers is to assess and manage product compliance across different countries, where numerous regulations are in place worldwide, resulting in difficulties in meeting all requirements and standards.

This complexity requires a system of rules that enables companies to manage compliance data and processes throughout the entire supply chain and product life cycle.

How do you approach future business strategies in such a dynamic regulatory landscape?

Absolutely, that is the right question. Product compliance must be embraced as a mindset, consistently questioning whether the product design and testing methodology are sufficient to ensure that requirements are met. We cannot accept any compromise in safety and reliability.

Would you allow your family to use a product you are not confident in?

The key role is indeed played by the team who assess the risks of non-compliance and define solutions to prevent and avoid them.

What do you find in common between your work and personal attitude?

In a few words: teamwork and integrity. I’ve been playing volleyball for years, and recently I started again with high commitment and a spirit of cooperation, similar to my daily work. I believe that trust is the foundation of any partnership, leading to successful results and continuous opportunities for mutual learning. This belief is also linked to my other passion, cooking, where I can practice my skills and share great times with friends.
