𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮?
Does it mean you’re disciplined?
Undisciplined?
Successful?
Unsuccessful?
Good?
Bad?
Nope.
𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮:
𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.
What if this were true?
What if your money didn’t mean anything about you as a human being.
What if your money didn’t mean anything about your worth as a human being.
I invite you to consider this:
You are 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 worthy.
You always have been.
And you always will be.
𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦t𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴, 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.
And if you’ve ever felt shame around your financial situation, or any judgment of your own or even someone else’s financial situation, you can rest assured that you have simply temporarily forgotten this basic truth.
Conversely, when we remember that 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲, and that it doesn’t mean anything about us as human beings, we can get honest with ourselves, and honest with each other.
We can remove the taboo around money.
We ca𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 at our money.
We can 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 about money.
We can share our thoughts and insights and 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 around money.
And when we do those things, we can all start to do this money thing a whole lot better.
Cheers,
MT
