Re: How to Interactive With Me In the Workplace

I realize sometimes I may not be clear in expressing my expectations for the Team or for you. To improve the communication process between us and to assist the Team to operate more effectively and efficiently, here is information about me that will improve our relationship and help the Team to operate at a higher level of performance.

(The list provided below is only an example. The Team Leader needs to list their own set of characteristics - perhaps taken from their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or Strength Finders 2.0)

My Characteristics Are:

Ø I see the big picture.   

Ø I know & appreciate people.

Ø I quickly reach conclusions about people & motives.

Ø I am concerned about the needs of others.

Ø I continually look for new & better solutions to benefit the company. 

Ø I believe in a strong work ethic.

Ø I am outspoken.

Ø I am person of principles.

Ø Providing good service is a key focus. 

Ø I have no difficulty making the tough calls.

Ø I am loyal & I appreciate loyalty in return.

To Communicate Effectively With Me You Must:

Ø Be positive.

Ø Show appreciation for my contributions.

Ø Listen & give conversation ample time.

Ø Focus on collaboration & cooperation.

Ø Provide general guidelines & don’t be overly analytical.

Ø Provide information about other people’s opinions.

Ø Not see only short term or immediate results.

Ø Not be more focused on results than people.

When I Make Decisions I:

Ø  Want to make life better for people.

Ø Motivate others to action with enthusiasm, warmth & optimism.

Ø Exhibit perseverance & dedication despite obstacles.

Ø Raise concerns about how the decision affected my & others’ feelings.

Ø Explore how outcomes served the vision & long term goals of the company.
