Mercedes-Benz Financial Services South Africa, Celebrates Entrepreneurship, Empowerment, and Gender Equality with Sprinter Panel Van Sponsorships.

In line with our Enterprise Development Programme, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) has sponsored two female entrepreneurs, Danean Abrahams and Nomathemba Selesho with a Sprinter Panel Van each, demonstrating our commitment to promoting economic growth and empowerment.

This initiative is a significant step towards supporting entrepreneurship and advancing gender equality in business. The handover events were held in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively, to celebrate this milestone, where the keys were handed over by our CEO, Robert Hoffmann.

We have partnered with the Commercial Transport Academy (CTA), who will provide invaluable assistance for two years, offering guidance on essential business operations such as managing costs, budgeting, and financial planning. This support will help the two new owners to run their businesses effectively and efficiently, ultimately contributing to their success.

The Courier Guy (TCG) in Johannesburg and InterTownTransport (ITT) in Cape Town have also come on board to award the female entrepreneurs with a one-year contract, amplifying the impact of their entrepreneurial journey. This partnership will provide the entrepreneurs with a reliable and efficient courier service, enabling them to deliver their products and services to their customers with ease.

MBFS is committed to fostering economic growth and empowerment and takes pride in being the main sponsor of this initiative.

Robert Hoffmann commented “With our partners we have taken a significant step towards supporting the growth and success of female entrepreneurs, and we look forward to seeing the impact of this initiative in the years to come. We will stay in touch with the entrepreneurs and wish them under all weather conditions a safe journey in the best Van available. Actually, female entrepreneurs and driving go way back considering that it was Bertha Benz who is well known for the first long distance drive in the world in 1888”.

As the engines of their Sprinter Panel Vans roar to life, our female entrepreneurs embark on a path paved with determination, support, and opportunity. MBFS remains committed to nurturing their growth, celebrating their achievements, and championing gender equality in the world of business.

A big thank you to Orbit Commercial Vehicles Cape Town and to Sandown Commercial Vehicles Centurion for making these handover events very special. We could not have done it without their assistance and support.

Let us witness the transformation as these vans become more than mere vehicles—they become symbols of empowerment and progress.
