Microsoft Ignite: Experience AI Innovation

Microsoft Ignite: Experience AI Innovation

This year, Microsoft Ignite returned to where it all began.

A decade after first kicking off in Chicago, we were thrilled to be here again—only now, we’re in the midst of a platform shift we could not have imagined then. With thousands of technologists joining us in person and even more digital attendees tuning in worldwide, we dove into the latest innovations in AI transformation and celebrated your incredible contributions.

We couldn’t have asked for a better time! As we head into the future, here’s a look back at our week together.

From the mainstage

It all began with a keynote on the new era of AI, delivered by top Microsoft leaders including:

  • Satya Nadella, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
  • Rajesh Jha, Executive Vice President, Experiences + Devices
  • Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President, Cloud + AI
  • Charlie Bell, Executive Vice President, Microsoft Security

Microsoft Copilot, “The UI for AI,” was the entry point, as new capabilities were shared in Microsoft 365 Copilot, the Copilot + AI stack, and new Copilot+ devices offerings. It was a glimpse of our coming agentic world, where everyone will be able to use Copilot to delegate and automate tasks with customized AI agents.

This shift is only possible with the right devices and infrastructure. Among the new hardware announced at Microsoft Ignite were Windows 365 Link, the Azure Integrated HSM security chip, and a new liquid cooling heat exchanger unit for Azure datacenters.

IT pros are at the center of this transformation, leading innovation with AI-powered agents and apps. For even greater customization, we have now unified all existing Microsoft Azure AI services and tooling in Azure AI Foundry—including more than 1800 models to start from.

Each of these announcements is underpinned by our commitment to security. Revisit the full keynote on-demand now.

Headed to the Hub

Inspired by the keynote, audience members were ready to connect—after all, that’s what Microsoft Ignite is all about.

In the Hub, Microsoft experts, featured partners, and other industry leaders met to share knowledge and tools. Everything revolved around a massive Copilot installation, showcasing some of the groundbreaking ways users can engage AI.

Nearby, Microsoft Learn helped attendees skill up with AI-powered robots, challenges, and certification exams. Other booths featured live demos, networking opportunities, and real-time problem solving.

All week long, this is where the excitement truly came to life.

Empowering deeper learning

Each day, attendees joined sessions on the topics that interested them most, whether a just-announced piece of tech or a customer scenario they heard from a peer.

Specialists shared their expertise in smaller breakouts that streamed live to virtual attendees. Want to learn more about Windows 365 Link or the combined power of GitHub and Copilot? Check out the recorded sessions on-demand.

Time for celebration

With our community together in one place, we had a lot to celebrate.

This year, we welcomed Microsoft partners with special partner-focused programming and a reception for the Microsoft Partner of the Year Award winners.

And on the event’s final evening, we headed to the iconic Navy Pier for the Microsoft Ignite and AMD Celebration.

One year after we first announced Copilot at Microsoft Ignite, it’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come. Microsoft Ignite will be back next year, in an exciting move to San Francisco, the week of November 17, 2025. Save the date and sign up to be the first to know when registration opens. You won’t want to miss it!
