📌Microsurgical robotic system Symani📌
Medical Microinstruments has developed the Symani microsurgical robot. The robotic system is designed to assist in microsurgical procedures and boasts many additional features to achieve this goal.
The Symani Surgical System® provides access to robotic microsurgery, an innovation that allows doctors to perform procedures that are difficult to perform when manually suturing very small vessels.
Our goal is to provide patients with access to these complex procedures so they can be treated more efficiently, allowing them to return to their daily activities and improve their quality of life.
Symani will allow surgeons to work with very small anatomical structures with increased precision and reproducibility. It is the only system that offers wrist-mounted micro instruments designed to improve the surgeon's ability to access and suture small, delicate anatomical structures.
The platform provides motion scaling (7-20x) and tremor reduction, allowing the surgeon to perform precise micro movements with macro gestures.
Symani is a flexible platform consisting of two robotic arms that can be easily positioned over any anatomical area to facilitate surgical procedures. Unlike many surgical robotic platforms that require large rooms or dedicated space, Symani can be easily moved between operating rooms.

The Symani NanoWrist instruments are the world's smallest wrist-based surgical instruments designed to enhance a surgeon's natural dexterity and extend the range of motion inaccessible to the human hand.
In order to accelerate the spread and adoption of robotic microsurgery, MMI partnered with VirtaMed to launch the Symani Surgical System Simulator to improve and digitize the training pathways for Symani.
It is gratifying to see that after a few basic exercises on the simulator, surgeons can use the robot to place surgical knots and anastomoses.
The company believes that improved training methods such as the simulator allow surgeons to adapt more quickly and potentially improve patient outcomes.
Symani combines patented innovations, including NanoWrist Instrumentation, as well as NanoScale® technology that reduces tremor.
NanoWrist micro and super micro instruments offer 7 degrees of freedom (extended movement and orientation) and add the necessary dexterity to confidently access and suture hard-to-reach anatomical structures.
