Middle East Series: Part 1: Timeless Hospitality, Asylum, and Treatment of Guests as Neighbors

The first of a series put together on the Middle East in the coming weeks for Havok Journal. It talks about culture, some short stories, and timeless traditions dating back to pre-Islamic times - some which still remain a fabric of society to this day.

Some of you will recognize the story from the Bible, others recognize it because of the "Pashtunwali code" in southern Afghanistan, while others have experienced it more in the Arab tradition. Likely anyone that's seen time in Iraq or Afghanistan has a similar story.
