The Mind Replays What the Heart Can't Delete

The Mind Replays What the Heart Can't Delete

Grasp the concept, and you'll achieve greater inner peace. Accept it, and you'll know which product suits your audience best. Take action, and you’ll find true wealth—in understanding, fulfillment, and, yes, material gain as well.

Turning Feelings Into Fortune

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be wealthy in all aspects of life. However, it's become posh to criticize the capitalist mindset while spending hundreds on courses to learn how to manifest greater abundance through a spiritual perspective. If there was ever greater sorcery in the mortal world, this is it.

Cancelling others for having wealth, while visualizing your future home on a vision board—how exactly does that work?

It doesn't work.

You can't manifest abundance when you come from a mindset of lack. Lack comes from wanting things but feeling like you can't have them. It's fueled by emotions of disapproval, judgment, and betrayal, often shaped by childhood experiences of not being able to afford things or witnessing financial struggles at home.

A place of lack is the emotions silenced at an age when we didn't have a voice, transforming into our primary narrative as adults—a narrative that can either drive us forward or hold us back.

Heart Over Hustle

Emotions are a powerful tool, often misunderstood and feared.

Ironic? We fear feeling fear?

We've been taught that feelings cloud our judgment. But the truth is that embracing our emotions can give us unparalleled insight and clarity, empowering us to become better leaders, creators, and, most importantly, self-aware human beings!

If you look at the diagram below, you will notice that our actions and behaviors are influenced by our emotions.

Internalizing our emotions causes us to disconnect not only from ourselves but also from others. When we feel emotionally paralyzed, it impacts our thought process and, consequently, the decisions we make. This is particularly significant in corporate and business environments, where the rule often is: "Leave emotions out of the equation..."

I never understood WHY. The people who ask you to do it are usually fearful of something, usually being exposed. Ironically, to control that sense of threat, they will lead with hostility and critical tactics to emotionally manipulate the outcome. If the irony is not lost on me, then I don't know what to tell you.

But it's not lost on me. That's for sure.

Mad credit to Human Systems for creating this excellent wheel!

The Passion Paradox

I spent thousands—yes, thousands—on understanding the emotional paradox that hounded me for years. I was always described as "passionate" at work and consecutively in my annual reviews:

Debbie is 'passionate' when she speaks.

Debbie has 'passionate' ideas.

Debbie is 'passionate' about her work.

Debbie is a 'passionate' team member.

Bless her heart. Debbie is just passionate all around.

I felt like a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader standing sans pom poms, smiling at the camera. Half the time, I struggled to make it in, but I was glad they perceived me as passionate rather than restless.

Look at the Emotion Wheel.

Emotions Wheel

Tell me if or where you can find the word passionate.

You won't find "passionate" there.

Passion is a mix of curiosity, trust, confidence, and optimism. However, calling someone passionate (can) suggests they have exuberance and excitement, which can be misunderstood in corporate settings as rushed, overwhelmed, or overly excited. This fuels a misguided narrative of skepticism and disapproval in the wrong settings or mindsets.

It's important to remember that the words we use can significantly impact how we feel and behave. We often live according to the reality others create for us until we understand ourselves better. However, it's our responsibility to define our reality rather than letting others do it for us. This can be challenging, but I speak from personal experience.

Rev Your Hearts!

Embracing your emotions is not just a personal journey; it's your right. In the tech industry, where logic often reigns supreme, bringing emotions into the equation can be transformative. Using tools like the Emotion Wheel, we can develop technology that resonates on a deeply human level, creating products that serve, connect, and inspire.

So, let's stop running from our feelings and start racing with them. Let’s clear our emotional racetracks, confront our fears, and drive forward with clarity and confidence. Because when we master the wicked game of emotions, we don’t just become better professionals—we become better human beings. And in the end, that’s the true essence of success.

Best,

The Passionate Kid

Augustine's solution was the formation of the heart-mind, so that one is not only NOT ruled by emotional swings, but they learn how to process emotion sanely, too.
