Invisible Walls Holding You Back

Do you have invisible walls holding you back from achieving your goals?

Anything that you feel intimidated by might actually be an invisible wall.

Do you dare to ask yourself what you truly want?

If you don’t, it may really be an invisible wall.

Invisible walls are false beliefs engrained deeply inside you that you are:

-Incapable

-Unworthy

-Not good enough

-Not (something) enough

-You will fail

These beliefs stop you from trying and sometimes even letting yourself want things in your life.

These invisible walls are put up by one of the following (this list is not exhaustive):

-Being neglected, abused, or abandoned in childhood by one or both of your parents or another adult you trusted

-Being overly parented in childhood (Helicopter Parenting)

-Being told negative things, bullied, yelled at, taunted, or made to feel small in childhood or early adulthood

-Being passed over for opportunities in childhood or early adulthood

-Being poor

-Having a handicap

-Being a minority

-Being an immigrant

-Having a mental or physical difference

-Being in a low paid job

-Being with an abusive partner, betrayed, or abandoned by a partner

-Being in a toxic environment for too long without positive role models

-Having made past mistakes that you carry deep shame and guilt for

These invisible walls are so deep we usually aren’t even consciously aware of them. We just accept these beliefs as reality.

What if I told you they were all lies? That you could create whatever reality you desired? Do you dare to dream?

You may be thinking ‘I can’t change who I am.’ Wrong. You actually can. Every single day you chose over and over to stay stuck, to stay unhappy, to play the victim role in your situation. My words may anger you because you may legitimately argue you’ve suffered more than others, you were dealt a poor hand in life, and I could never imagine being in your shoes. And you are right. You have valid arguments to feel the way you do. But you chose to keep using them as excuses not to move forward. You can let go of the past. You can decide today not to let the tomorrow you by defined by the you of yesterday. Whatever your hardships, I feel you. I send you good energy and prayers. Remember that your attention and thoughts determine your actions. You can control your thoughts. Start today using the power of your mind to break down those invisible walls and walk into your light, accepting the full joy that is your birthright to yourself. No one will hand it to you. Only you can shape your desired reality.

See you on the other side.

I'm so on board Krista Mollion!  Great article!  Many don't give mindset enough credit.  You can have all the strategy and resources in the world.... if your mindset is off, you still won't achieve your goals.  It's the make or break. Thoughts/Beliefs lead to Feelings.  Feelings lead to Action/Inaction (how we show up.)  Action/Inaction leads to the Results we see. Change the mind.... change your results. Thanks for writing this Krista!  Powerful stuff!
