For the month of June, we sat down with Frankie, our People & Culture Coordinator!

Frankie has been with Easygo for almost 12 months and strives to make an impact each and every day.

We sat down with Frankie, and asked her a few questions.

Can you tell me a bit about your background and how you ended up working at Easygo?

After studying a 3 year Business degree I had grand plans to take some time off to travel.. However, finishing uni mid-pandemic put a bit of a halt on my explorer plans, so I had to figure out my next move, and quickly. Initially, I considered marketing, thinking of myself as creative, but I soon realised that wasn't quite my strength.

I decided to shift my focus to what I'm truly good at: communication, organisation, and being a 'people person'. This led me to work at a Fintech company in Sydney as a HR Administrator. I was there for 1.5 years before an old friend shared with me the job description for my current role, People & Culture Coordinator at Easygo.

The moment I read the job description, I was sold; an in-house barista, daily breakfast, massage Wednesday’s!?! How could I resist? But what truly excited me was the chance to be part of a scale-up business in a fast-paced environment. The only problem was, I lived in Sydney and this job was in Melbourne. My spontaneous nature took over, and without hesitation, I applied, got the job, and walked through the Easygo doors four weeks later. Safe to say, this was one of the best impulsive decisions I've ever made.

What is a project/s you are currently working on? / What have been your most exciting projects?

With our business expanding rapidly, it's important to stay agile and embrace change by implementing new processes. Fortunately, I have a considerable amount of autonomy in my role, allowing me to personalise it by developing processes and incorporating fresh, exciting elements alongside the daily administrative tasks. A major focus for me has been Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), as my manager gave me free rein to spearhead DEI initiatives across the company. We're fortunate to have the flexibility to greenlight many of my ideas. Our diverse workforce is a tremendous asset, and it's vital to take every opportunity to celebrate it. I've invested significant effort in organising DEI events such as Harmony Day, Reconciliation Week, IDAHOBIT, and Eid, among others. Collaborating with colleagues from various departments, we've transformed these events into meaningful celebrations. The overwhelming success of these gatherings truly makes my heart so full as I witness participation from team members all across the business.

What's even more exciting is that we have another six months of exciting initiatives ahead. We're gearing up to launch a food drive for Refugee Day this week and have some exciting ideas in the works for NAIDOC week in July.

Among the other noteworthy initiatives, I've been lucky enough to organise our Easygo 2024 Blood Drive. As a company, we aim to make 100 donations by year-end, potentially impacting 300 lives! Additionally, our partnership with RSPCA allows staff to utilise their Volunteer Day at RSPCA Burwood. This entails a day dedicated to learning about preventing animal cruelty, hands-on shelter maintenance, and spending quality time with adorable animals.

What is your favourite part of your job? What's your particular team culture like?

We're all on this journey together, dedicated to ensuring everyone in Easygo has a blast while contributing to our success.

What is our team like? Collaborative, vibrant, and oh-so-motivated. We're all about delivering top-notch results and supporting one another every step of the way. I love standing up from behind my desk and bouncing ideas off whoever is there to listen. We’re each other's biggest cheerleaders and I love it!

What excites you the most about the future of Easygo?

The fact that there is something new every day and no two days are the same. You never quite know what's around the corner ,but you know that it is going to be exciting! Being a part of a rapidly evolving and expanding business like Easygo is truly quite special.
