More Marketing Musts
In 4 #Marketing Musts I highlighted four important marketing concepts to help better position a brand’s product or service into someone’s top of mind awareness.
Those concepts include:
- Be Relevant
- Be Consistent
- Be Engaged
- Be Integrated
Here are More Marketing Musts to add to the list:
Build Awareness Through Your Story
One of the most effective ways to develop awareness is to create a core story that educates your market around needs your products or services better address. It also helps build a great elevator pitch.
Be Bold
Some of the best marketing campaigns-whether simple or complex-stand out because they were bold. To help you stand out from the crowd get creative with your marketing & advertising campaigns. If you need some inspiration check out some of the most watched Super Bowl commercials of all time or ads that have gone viral.
Don’t Quit
Even when there appears to be no immediate results an effective marketing program wins by just staying in the game. Remember the old adage, out of sight out of mind. Think Energizer bunny and keep marketing and marketing and marketing. It has become even easier to accomplish this with all of the automation tools available now at little to no cost.
Encourage Action
Marketing is not sales and sales is not marketing. Too often those concepts are seen as synonymous, when they are not. Marketing creates the opportunity for sales. To do that your marketing needs to educate as well as encourage action (i.e. deadlines, limited availability, limited seating, leverage social proof etc.). Good easy to read content with attention grabbing headlines is a great way to start.
