My 2024 To-Do List
If you can only handle me in small doses:
Last week I kicked off a new client engagement in which I am coaching 50 Wealth Advisors nationwide. The coachees were all so interesting, enthused and participatory, and I am feeling so great about the work that we have in front of us.
January and July stand out as the busiest months for Prequal opportunities. January's charged with new goals and plans, leading many to seek expert guidance, while July sees a renewed urgency, as clients check their mid-year progress and actively look for additional resources to stay on track with their objectives.
I’m hosting a “Vision Board Party” on Monday for 25 Chicago Chief members that I have never met. I’ve also never made a Vision Board, and certainly have never facilitated a session. But, I thought it would be a fun, productive way to gather. I’ll report back.
Building Prequal Vol. 24 – My 2024 To-Do List
Is it a coincidence that this edition #24 coincides with “2024” and my newsletter about what I plan to work on this year? I think not. I'm over here with a new year, new me attitude. Not really. I'm still the same person who prefers sweats to real pants, will steal all your snacks, and says overly bold things while my husband looks on in horror. Those things will never change. But I'm not immune to the fresh start and inspiration that comes with the turning of a calendar year. I didn't buy any silly 2024 glasses, but I have a 2024 to-do list. Here's what's on it.
Scale Impact
While my business is how I support my family, the true heart of my work lies in the impact it creates. Now is the time for me to explore how to scale and magnify this impact. The question I'm grappling with is how to expand my reach significantly. I have confidence in the effectiveness of my tools, methodologies, and frameworks, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility to make them accessible to a broader audience. I must find ways to put these resources into the hands of more people, particularly those who need them the most. This isn't just a business goal; it's a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Generate Passive Income
Last year at Prequal was all about testing phase 2 of the business. We tested messaging, offers, audiences, and social platforms. Testing gave us some excellent data, but nothing took off as I'd hoped. You can't win them all. Armed with the knowledge of last year, I am determined to make 2024 the year that passive income comes to me. We have engaged a social ads expert, a search ads expert and have conducted an audit of our offerings and SEO. Don't be surprised if you start seeing my face or Prequal's logo in your social media feed soon.

Finish and Publish My Book
One of the books on my nightstand last year was Write A Must Read. I read it, and I plan to write a must-read. I know the book I want to write. I have the content. I've even penned about 50% of it. But parts do not make a whole, and in 2024, I'd like to write and publish a whole book. Who wants to host my book signing party?
Secure A TEDx Talk
Yes, I'd prefer to speak on the big TED stage, but I'm not delusional enough to think that's where I should start. I've been looking into application requirements to speak at various TEDx stages nationwide. There are a lot, so if you are or know of any TEDx organizers, please send them my way. I want all the insider info I can get.
Also, the reason I want to do a TEDx talk isn't for the notoriety or because I like the sound of my voice. I don't actually love public speaking. But I have an idea worth spreading, and I want the name recognition that comes with TED to help me spread it. Spoiler alert: It's about women and sales and how sales is the start of everything and the key to achieving women's equality. Could it really be about anything else?
Find More Joy
I wrote before about my search for joy. As a woman who's been unabashedly focused on my career for decades, I'm incredibly proud of my work and the difference I've made. As a human with needs and interests outside of work, I've done a terrible job cultivating other avenues of joy and pleasure. If you're lucky enough to know what brings you that natural, deep, unbridled joy, you should do more of it relentlessly and as often as possible. I am prioritizing creating and engaging in new experiences this year.
That's it. Five things. Granted, they are not small things, but they're important things to me. What's on your 2024 Bucket List?
-A.
