My Entrepreneurial Journey - Alexandre Dupont

Our Thai member Alexandre Dupont , Founding Partner of ORBIS Alliance and Orbis Thailand, has shared with us his journey in entrepreneurship and answered our questions.

Alexandre has advised and assisted European clients in Foreign Investment, Corporate and Commercial matters, contractual drafting, and negotiation in Asia, particularly in Thailand and Hong Kong, for more than 10 years.

 He has lectured on and authored several academic, commercial articles and presentations at business forums.

He also served as President of Interlegal International Network from 2019-2021.

What was the driving force behind opening your own firm/ becoming a leading partner? 

Setting up with my partners our own firm has been an obvious step in our career, a challenging venture to gain a new experience as entrepreneurs in addition to our legal profession. 

How did you decide to take that leap of faith to branch out on your own?

I was driven by the will of experiencing a new professional challenge, to build a new brand, a team of professionals, and gaining a certain freedom in practicing my profession.

Did you ever have doubts about the decision you had made and what made you push towards becoming the success you are today?

I always had the belief we could offer a tailor-made service to clients, a different approach in the business, and legal advice in comparison with our direct competitors which would lead our firm to some success. Our synergy with other expertise (accounting, HR, real estate) has also enabled us to consolidate our path to success.

What kind of culture exists in your organization and was that a conscious choice?

Our organization relies on the principle that anyone within our firm can learn and gain new professional opportunities. We also put efforts in offering customized expertise in view of building lasting relationships with our clients while their business evolves.
