My first week in Las Vegas !!!

I have traveled all over the country and only have Hawaii to finish my list of visiting all 50 States. No matter where I travel or where I have lived I am still just a Midwest guy from Ohio. For years every time I mentioned Ohio the response would be, "Ohio ?" "Pigs and cows right ?" In my younger days it would upset me. Now I understand anyone saying that has never really been to Ohio.

I decided to travel 3000 miles and move to Las Vegas having never lived East of the Mississippi River (Monday Night Football so early in the day is really cool). I did it because I have been in the club and hospitality business for 33 years. When I heard a new owner was taking over a famous landmark in Las Vegas and looking for someone to breathe new life into the club and take it in a new direction I jumped at the chance. Even though everyone warned me of the dangers of Vegas.

Look I know it's only been a week but I have to tell you everyone has been so nice. I am looking forward to meeting everyone I can. The people in the hospitality field are like no others and the kindness people have extended to me and my family has been amazing. I woke up today to another beautiful day and can't wait to get started. I have so many new people to meet and everything is so new I feel like I have the energy of a three year old.

I know.... I know .... give it time you say... my tune will change. Don't count on it. I just saw the first golf course today and I hear I have 99 more to see. I can't wait .... Hello Las Vegas !!!

PS.... yes I am a huge Ohio State fan.... GO BUCKS !!!
