My life failed and I hit the RESET BUTTON 🔴

There is something about me and LinkedIn articles.

I can’t write one if you forced me too, but every now and then I’m sitting at my kitchen table drinking coffee and I get this inspiration that gets me totally thinking.

As I’m winning in life now (thank you everyone for supporting me for making that happen, especially you wonderful Lassie Zia), I don’t mind going back to my days of failure and unpacking them.

Before you think I’m beating myself up or anything, I’m most certainly not; and not thinking any pity thoughts or anything.

It’s more “How did I get there?” and then of course to the more positive; “How can I win more now?”

The biggest thing I did, that I think many people have been forced to do in life is admit a simple (yet painful truth):

  • My life has failed!

Whilst on the surface it may sound very negative, I found it an extremely liberating experience. I stopped trying and just hit the RESET BUTTON like you would on an old PC from the 90’s.

When I mentally started again, I certainly had some tough times ahead of me. I ended up being a homeless veteran living in my car.

It was during this time I dreamed up becoming some time of international influencer (lol) and I even thought of how cool it would be to fly interstate a few times of months to meetup with my friends (lol).

With all the above said, I’m glad my life failed! If it didn’t, I would probably be an average / unhappy guy right now. I then realised:

  • I have totally won in life!

My big advice and thinking? Nothing wrong with admitting that your life has failed. It then gives you a chance to stop everything and rebuild it the way that you want.

And for tough times? Sure, you’re going to have them. I was a homeless veteran living in my car but thank god I had a car. Being homeless with a car, isn’t really ‘homeless. It’s more like homeless lite, or the ‘diet coke’ of being homeless (it’s sort of coke, but not really, but it’s sort of okay, but not lol).

You may be young and your early jobs tanked, you may have been at the top of your game and got cleaned up in a divorce, you may just wake up one day questioning your reality realising it’s not what you want or more.

Whatever triggers you, just hit the reset button. Strange, yet very cool things can happen and you can make your own dent in the universe.

Love your work, please stay awesome and you so rock 😊
