My New Adventure in Healthcare

My New Adventure in Healthcare

I am off to a new adventure in healthcare. My 21-year relationship with Baldwin Wallace University recently ended, and it was a great run. I had the opportunity to direct BW’s healthcare-related business programs, and I was a professor of health economics.

Most rewarding for me was to continue to track and stay in touch with the alums of the program as their careers progressed and they positively impacted their organizations and society.

While working at Baldwin Wallace University, I continued my private consulting practice in various sectors of healthcare, and I was of-counsel healthcare attorney with the law firm Baker Hostetler, LLP.

During my 40+ years that I have worked in diverse sectors of healthcare, I have experienced the “best and worst of times”. The best was the compassionate and talented people I interacted with during my healthcare career. The worst was the frustration I experienced knowing that given the money our country spends on healthcare, we should be doing so much more.

I decided 20 years ago that, even though I am just one person, I wanted to find an outlet for both this frustration and anger, and to share what I have learned, and so I turned to writing blogs and white papers, and conducting webinars & podcasts, and speaking at conferences and seminars.

Fortunately, my publications and appearances on podcasts/webinars have allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations in the world of healthcare, both in the U.S. and internationally, who share my passion for making a difference.

As a part of my new adventure, I will continue to publish blogs/white papers, contribute to podcasts, and consult, and I plan to leverage my personal and organizational relationships to hopefully have an even greater impact on society.

Both my writing and my consulting role will focus on my passions: primary care, population health, rural health, and finding ways to provide better value to employers and consumers of healthcare.

In this role, I hope to continue to collaborate with individuals and organizations that share this passion.

Please stay in touch, and if interested, join me on this new adventure.

Finally, my new email address is tcampconsulting@gmail.com
