My QA Mentor’s Initial Days

I made a choice to join QA Mentor as a Director of Security Testing Practice and it was a very smooth conversation between Ruslan and I where I saw Ruslan was equally excited to have me in his team at QA Mentor. And also I’m vibing positively with the other executive team members with my style which is mostly hard for people to assimilate in my experience, but my style is my style at the end of the day and without that I don’t exist.

It’s been more than half a month and I have been involved very closely with various customers across various industries / domains in order to look for their existing security posture. I would love to thank the beautiful members of the team who have been really supporting me and discussing with the context that works for running the testing services business and now with my involvement, following are my goals as long as I stay with QA Mentor.

Without further ado, here are my goals:

1. Help and support the existing customers and new ones to achieve better security posture. To support our customers [upcoming and existing ones], I will also be working closely with the required members to come up with the “Application Security Testing Packages” which can be affordable by many globally and the quality of security test activity shall not be compromised at all in our radar.

2. Train some of the existing team members (these are testers currently who will add one more feather of application security testing in their hat) with application security testing so that the ship can sail without me when I make a choice to leave.

3. Make the QA Mentor shorts videos as part of our responsibility towards the testing community members that also includes security of course. << Coming Soon >>

4. Help the members with their active involvement in Testing Bug Battles within the organisation.

The above ones are the main goals with tiny other goals which may happen during the journey.

I would love to take the following names of members at QA Mentor here because I’m a man of gratitude as well.

Nitin Tawde

We have met before in one of the software testing conferences where I was speaking on a subject of security testing [of-course] somewhere in India and we had that very tiny exchange of words with a smile and now I remember meeting him again very frequently. I highly respect his support with unbiased style without thinking I know or I don't know about a specific subject. Thank you, Nitin.

Lakshmi Bylahalli

I was speaking to Nitin even before joining QA Mentor - Software Testing Expert - 13 Years of Making Products Successful and I received the phone number of Lakshmi from Nitin as I was in Bengaluru during that time (March 2024) and wanted to catch-up with Lakshmi and get to know each other better. I called Lakshmi and she just said, "YES" to catch-up which was amazing and we finally met and got to know each other and also our journey as a professional. Lakshmi has been very helpful and supportive as well in my journey till date and also discussing things that’s good for the customers which indirectly adds value to the business.

Ruslan Desyatnikov

I have known Ruslan for many years now [through social media], but on our first call / meeting where we were equally excited to work with each other. I made a choice based on my visceral / feelings to join QA Mentor and see how I can add value in security testing practice to really help the world to have better security posture via QA Mentor's business.

Prashant SK Shriyan

Prashant is awesome and I like his energy and optimism. His style is unique which works better for business and his fun-side is commendable as well. Prashant said something beautiful which goes this way, “Pencil for thoughts and pixels for the details” which for sure sounds poetic in a beautiful way ;-)

I am on a journey to meet other members from around the world who work with QA Mentor (One of my fun parts: I am a fun style talker and don't really intend to do anything malicious to anybody on this planet or anywhere else. Just the poetic persona in me which is a beautiful trait in order to connect with other beings based on the context) and see how we can work together towards the success of all of us as I personally believe in "Collaboration" over "Competition" and help the members + business to rock and roll.

Godspeed to us. Fingers Crossed.
