My Sleigh Runneth So Bright My Days and Nights are Illuminated With a Renewed Sense of Optimism and Delight, By Dan Harkey
My duties include attendance at various Christmas gatherings and, in many cases, talking to strangers.
I am awestruck by how our mood changes from bewilderment and defeat, requiring us to hide behind every available facade to taking control of our lives. People appear much happier and more optimistic.
It was apparent everywhere I went over the holidays. Of course, discounting my age, I have not been this optimistic in 30 years.
We look forward to dramatic changes just around the corner, January 20, 2025, and forward. This anticipation should fuel our hope for a better future.
Let me make a few observations about what changes will be forthcoming:
· No more-- Leftist ideological means solving problems with a bigger government containing millions of additional labor union bureaucrats, more restrictive and punitive regulations, higher taxes, a soak-the-rich philosophy, and driving the obedient and compliant population into financial serfdom. The option for these folks is to relocate to states that still believe in capitalism.
· No more-- Entitlement, submission to the state, dependency, abject censorship, and desperation have all become the norm.
· No more—Governments and high-tech companies (technocrats) install egregious surveillance cameras, listening devices, and data extraction from computers and emails.
· No more thoughts that they will fully record and observe our actions, movements, and communications. Data analytics and algorithms will be used to reconstruct our data into a profile, unlike in China, for social scoring.
· No more--Unacceptable compliance fox hunts to investigations with punitive measures for both financial and life disruptions of happiness.
· No more--Paying for all the progressive promises requiring additional issuance of US debt instruments to correspond to the financial promises-suggesting that the implementation of progressive policies often leads to increased government spending, funded by issuing more debt.
· No more—Looking forward to debt rising by 10 trillion dollars over the next 24 months, with the corresponding result being the erosion of the purchasing power of the dollars, otherwise known as inflation.
· No more—Being forced to Wear the appropriate mask symbolizes obedience and submission. Yes, wearing the patriotic muzzle is our entry into the club.
· No more-- Deviants who refuse to submit to the (approved) mask or wear one-- not entirely conventional skimpy cloth material, but twice as practical will result in rejection, isolation, and persecution—my full-face motorcycle helmet with a plastic shield that is twice as effective is not acceptable. Nor is my plastic shield that wraps around my face from chin to forehead considered acceptable.
· No more- Wearing a mask, “ineffectiveness” is not considered; it is only “approved” by the establishment and stuffy cloth or plastic fiber enclosure that restricts your breathing and causes you to inhale your carbon dioxide.
· No more--You would not want to be caught dead breathing freely and emitting carbon dioxide into the air, would you? You should be considerate and leave that to the cows, animals, cement production, deforestation, burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas, and those pesky volcano eruptions. Just try to put a muzzle or a dipper on a volcano.
· No more--The newly installed president has stated that we should all wear masks for 100 days out of patriotism rather than medical necessity—a badge of honor. Pandemic #1 will undoubtedly be replaced with a new and improved pandemic #2, and over and over when the latest virus strand is conveniently invented and propagandized to the public.
· No more-- Thoughts about the voters unknowingly choosing to move in the direction of socialism/Marxism.
· No more-- Winning of the election by fraudulent tactics, but the silent majority objected or pushed back like a steam roller.
· No more—Thoughts of the fraudulent political scheme have created a Constitutional Crisis.
· No more-- Thoughts that deceived voters would carry a long memory of being misled.
· No more—Socialism will transcend into soft communism, which has all the characteristics of communism but allows for some limited/highly controlled ownership rights of properties and business assets.
· No more—Socialism will transcend into soft communism, which has all the characteristics of communism but allows for some limited/highly controlled ownership rights of properties and business assets.
· Correspondingly, the result is not just socialism but a potential loss of personal freedoms, free speech, individualism, and Second Amendment rights. This is a future we must vehemently oppose.
· No more-- Official narratives are created by the most powerful entities in the world.
· No more-- The CIA peacefully coexists with the FBI, NSA, Democracy Party, Republican Party, and the administrative state, along with corporate lobbyists who represent various other extremely powerful (monied) special interests.
· No more—Mainstream media is just a puppet acting as purveyors of acceptable propaganda to disseminate to the public at large what is in the best interest of this tightly guarded elite group.
Moving forward: As we move forward, I urge the voters to maintain their offensive stance and devise a militant action plan to oust the scoundrels in the deep state. This is not a time for complacency but for resolute action.
· We won--The battle for control of digital free speech has ended, and the leftist totalitarian technocrats have lost. This victory should empower us, the independent thinkers, and the expression of different views have been won.
· We won-- The independent thinkers and the expression of different views have been won.
· We won-- Censorship and canceling online access have now become outlawed--and much-used war tool to silence or squash anyone who may have an opinion that deviates from the official preapproved narrative-
· We won- Individualism and individual narratives are not acceptable.
· We won. The beating was so brutal that it felt like the end of a two-central political system and democracy.
· We won. Tech giants like Facebook, X, Instagram, and Google, which own YouTube, will voluntarily stop isolating and single-handedly prosecuting any member of the public whom they disagree with or with whom a member of the public deviates from the media narrative—they can now be sued.
· We won--The cancel culture is dead with a vengeance, as well as monopolistic totalitarian technocrats attempting to ban coverage of any public forum with opposing views.
· We won. Big Tech’s intent on silencing opposing views has decelerated the speed and severity.
· We won-- You can expect widespread death of the cancel culture. This includes canceling internet connections, online presence with websites, bank relationships, payment vendor interfaces, employers, service providers, and government agencies. Their intention is, “Poof, you don’t exist.”
· We won-- You will no longer be considered a terrorist for expressing any independent view.
· We won-- Tech giants will be forced to relinquish their monopolistic status.
· We won-- They can no longer do what they want, including manipulating U.S. Politics and destroying companies, individuals, and people affiliated with those for the simple crime of disagreeing with the mainstream narrative subscribed by the media giants.
· We won-- Social scoring and sticking to the official narrative is now a deal on arrival.
· We won-- They are all scrambling to become fair and balanced. They are laying off thousands of ideologues. Giant media companies such as Cumulus Media, the third largest AM and FM radio station owner, are home to 416 company-owned operating ratio stations with 8,000 affiliates. Cumulus stated that it will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended or been resolved.
· We won-- People will no longer roll over and be silenced into submission; they will have many new options. Search them out.
· We won--This social scoring and technocratic approval/disapproval apparatus with the ability to cancel access as a cultural and political war tool is not unlike methods of censorship in China.
· Making inroads—Top-down elitist leaders take instructions from real, powerful, controlling entities and issue them to their subordinate sycophants.
· Making inroads--Never mind that many U.S. significant cities that have been run with progressive leadership are crumbling into widespread decay, high crime, abandoned properties, homelessness, drug infestation, crashing residential and commercial real estate values, an increasing number of occupants who are nonproductive, and dependent on handouts from transfer payments.
· Making inroads--The consequence of progressive leadership is the departure of a productive class from the municipality and the state. Productive and fed-up folks are rapidly moving to more business-friendly states with lower taxes at an accelerating pace.
· Making inroads--Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Newark, and New York are perfect examples of cities and municipalities run by leftists/progressives but are summarily being thrown out and regulated.
· Making inroads--Rule of Law has been systematically rebuilt.
· Making inroads--Our votes no longer matter if the system can eliminate corruption.
· Making inroads-- This country is now ruled by mob(s), propaganda, belligerence, rioting, and violence to get what people want and demand.
· Making inroads-- What they want and demand bears no relationship to what they worked for or earned from an honest day’s work. Here is a classic example from Seattle, Washington.
· Hard facts--HL Mencken said best: “People deserve the government they get.”
· Hard facts--California is a perfect example. The top financially successful 1% pays about 40% of all the state's income taxes. The taxes are a combination of income and capital gains from selling stock. The bottom 70% pays less than 5% of the state income taxes. The governance attitude is to increase the soak-the-rich regulations and tax penalties. F--- them, as a predominant politician from San Francisco stated. We do not care about them; we only care about confiscating their money from them where we spend it as we see fit.
· Hard facts--Companies and their employees are moving out of California by the tens of thousands. Why would anyone want to leave this state and relocate to a more business-friendly state with less regulation, lower tax rates, lower property values, lower payroll costs, higher living standards for less money, and a vastly larger labor pool? I guess that high rent and leftist governance are finally causing Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay area to lose their luster. Many of the top 1 %ers are leaving.
· Hard facts--You can be sure state tax revenues will plummet with corporations and high-paying white-collar workers leaving. Drastic expense cuts will be followed by municipalities with massive layoffs of teachers, firefighters, police officers, and all other municipal-related support workers. When the top 1% leaves, tax revenue will drop 40%.
· Hard facts--Here are a few examples of people who have decided to leave California.
· Tesla and Eldon Musk have moved their operations and mega factory to Austin, Texas. His other mega factory is in Sparks, Nevada.
· Oracle and Larry Ellison (CEO) are leaving to relocate to Texas.
· Juul, the e-cigarette maker, will move to Washington, DC.
· Tanium, a large cybersecurity firm, is moving to a suburb of Seattle, not an urban city.
· Hewlett Packard is moving its manufacturing to Texas.
· Cisco announced that it is leaving.
· Charles Schwab
· Rock Legend Gene Summons of Kiss decided to kiss California goodbye.
· Dropbox is moving to Austin, and remote work will become the norm.
· More than 653,000 people left California alone in the last year. Eighty-two thousand went to Texas, more than any other state. Why? No income tax, low sales tax, lower cost of living with business-friendly municipalities and state government, abundant labor-friendly workforces, and lovely places to live. And this is only the beginning.
· Mass exodus out of California has only just begun. Sounds like a song from Karen Carpenter from the 1960s.
· Colony Capital is moving to Florida.
· Hard facts—unintended consequences--In the COVID and post-COVID eras, companies have discovered that work effectiveness at a home office with digital technology can be completed with online connections. There is no longer a need to go to a cluster office. High-tech companies will produce new innovative products that will create even greater effectiveness. Watch the next 24 months.
· Hard facts—California raised approximately $419 billion from all taxes and state and local service fees. This includes the country's highest personal income tax rate, between 9.3% and 13.3%. California also has a high sales tax rate of 7.25%. How does this compare to a projected budget of 220 billion dollars?
· Hard facts-- Companies in New York are also relocating to more friendly states. Thousands of jobs are systematically being relocated to places like subs in Florida, North Carolina, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Nashville, and other less expensive locations. The tax and spending policies of the feckless political class have destroyed the illusion of “New York-New York.”
· Hard facts--Socialist/Marxist-leaning states are losing population to capitalist-leaning states. This is like discussing two separate countries.
· Hard facts--Here are a few examples of companies moving out of New York.
· Goldman Sachs Asset Management
· Fidelity Investments
· Credit Suisse
· Morgan Stanley
· Barclays
· UBS
· Citigroup
· Alliance Bernstein
· Billionaire Hedge Fund managers such as Paul Singer, Carl Icahn, Leon Cooperman
· Hard facts--Between 65% and 70% of the population depend on redistribution payments to survive financially. Entitlements, referred to as benefits, are not only welcomed but demanded. Expect that to change.
· Hard facts—expect that to change rapidly. What subsets of the USA want socialism as a new norm? Powerful entities with lots of money and lobbying power have worked extremely hard to steer the country in this direction. Combining the “status quo” and the " Globalist Reset” will make them prosperous and ensure ongoing power. They want to collapse the U.S. and capture the military, including shipping lines and a space force. They plan to systematically default on all the debt and install a new digital financial system.
· Who will be harmed by eliminating progressive policies
· Military Industrial Complex must get back to multiple wars per year. Contracts galore.
· Big Pharma. Contracts galore government access through lobbying.
· Big Tech will sell stuff, monitor the population, and act as a stool pigeon for the establishment.
· Those who expect government contracts galore and access through lobbying.
· The Media Empire takes instructions from the establishment and issues propaganda to reinforce the instructed narrative. The pay is significant, and contracts are galore.
· Big Businesses that rely on corporate and crony socialism.
· The administrative state includes all government employees, federal, state, and local, including teachers and government agencies. The court system and companies primarily rely on government transfer payments. All policies and actions are necessary to ensure that the government retains power and continues to grow and intrusion.
· The dependent class of 35% of the US population who are on welfare or some benefit payments, retired who rely on social security, state, federal, and local pension recipients. All transfer payments are now referred to as entitlements or benefits rather than hand-outs and redistributions for working-class taxpayers or freshly printed new money. Over 65% of the U.S. population now depends on government transfer payments.
· International and Globalist interests
· The Federal Reserve and global Banking system. Free loans and bailouts galore.
· Wall Street. Free access, crony contracts, free loans, and bailouts galore.
· The Oligarch class of billionaires. Preferential treatment, lobbying access, crony contracts, free loans, and bailouts galore.
Where is this country going in 2025 on a national level? Here are a few observations:
· About to change--This country is drowning in debt. It has accumulated 40 trillion of new on-the-books debt by simply going to the computer and creating new US treasuries sold to the public. When the cash from the sale of U.S. treasuries comes in, it is spent immediately. This is like a credit card, with unlimited balance and no accountability for what you spent the money on, which you will never be required to pay back. Additionally, the book’s accumulation of unfunded social security, Medicare, government public employee pensions, and military pensions exceeds 200 trillion in additional debt.
· About to change--The new administration will confront societal problems directly and refuse to spend more on U.S. treasuries to keep constituents happy.
· About to change--Cut 2.5 trillion from the annual budget, mainly from the administrative and deep states.
· About to change-- Assume the $220 trillion will become due annually and be divided over 20 years. $11 trillion annually must be paid to fund promised obligations.
· About to change-- The only possible way to find this much money is to continue borrowing or effectively create fiat currency out of thin air. This is the only way to perpetuate the U.S. financial Ponzi Scheme.
· About to change--Since this country only receives about $3.5 billion in taxation yearly but spends $8 to $10 trillion, creating $5 to $10 trillion in new debt annually through fiat is the only way out. Only it is not a way out, but merely a deferral for the ultimate crash and default of all national debts. Most, if not all, people on Wall Street are fully aware of this impossible situation. Perpetuation of the biggest Ponzi scheme in the history of the world is alive and well.
· About to change—It is impossible to pay back the debt, but it can only be reduced by diminishing the dollar's purchasing power. This means that people will become poorer unless they can keep up with the financial treadmill and make much more money. A dollar in a short period may only buy 10 cents worth of goods.
· About to change—The government fully understands that it is impossible to consider paying back or reducing spending. They have found an answer to converting our Federal Reserve monetary system into a digital banking and payment system controlled by the same parties.
The entire social and economic structure is about to change. We can expect a return of:
· Language, borders, culture, rule of law, families, individual accountability, self-sufficiency, and individual sovereignty.
· It will be the best economic four years in the country’s history.
· Complexities will be complexities
· Truths will be part of transparency.
I may indeed trade in some carrots and cookies for wine and songs. “Happy Days Are Here Again.”
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Prosperous New Year to all.
