My journey with ICON began more than 20 years ago as an entry level Clinical Research Associate, new to the industry coming from the hospital setting. I had several years of experience as a Medical Technologist but knew very little about pharmaceutical research. ICON trusted that my healthcare background and skill set matched their needs at the time, so the company took a chance and offered an opportunity that changed the course of my life.

I spent 4 years working as a Clinical Research Associate before moving into Project Management, this was a hybrid model at that time which encompassed Clinical Trial Management, Line Management, and Project Management responsibilities.  

One of the many things I appreciate about ICON is the variety of tools that helped prepare me for each role. Whether that was the Professional Development Academy, People Leader training, or the Therapeutic Area training that the company offers, there was always a mentor or line manager there to support me on my journey.

In 2016, I transitioned from a Program Manager on the full-service side to ICON Strategic Solutions our Functional Services Provider division as a Functional Line Manager , this path was the precursor to my director roles. It has been amazing to have an active role in the evolution of clinical trials for more than 2 decades helping to bring life changing medicines to our global community, and I’m so excited to see where the path leads as my journey continues with ICON.
