Narrative

At this difficult time, we all explore social media, as I do many times a day, wishing that the recent news repetition was less ugly than the previous one. 

Like many Indian people, I am deeply concerned for the well-being of family members, friends and society, as the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic has caused the country and its healthcare system to collapse.

The current situation is completely reversed a few months ago, when the discrepancy of the Indian experience was being celebrated at home and appreciated abroad.

Now, The image of muscles crowd, election rallies, religious festivals, markets, and near you, and on top of that, Political Narrative to defame the ruling party anyhow, perfectly captured this sense of a picture at odds with an underlying reality.

Yet, the crisis is not just the result of lapses in the last few months, of maskless crowd, election, or religious festivals, but it is rooted in ugly and intertwines truth of our political system. The current situation is a complete reversal from barely a few months ago, the toxic combination of incompetence and greed of power that marks their actions.

Yuval Noah Harari rightly said 

"This storm will pass. But the choices we make now could change our lives for years to come"

Now Social media are filled with only one narrative "Covid-19 is a conspiracy"

Strange, the man is silently working hard to save the country, and many fingers are raised against him.

Why?

What happened last year?

When Modi took a strong decision of national lockdown ?Then everyone cried for economy, development, and ruthlessly criticized the lockdown and declared it a dark day in Indian history.

Today, everyone is declaring a lockdown as the only way to save the country, and it is in continuity.

The question is; 

Last time you were wrong or this time? 

Or your political obsession is beyond national interest.

Subsequently, new propaganda for vaccines.

Luckily, India became a leader in vaccines, but they were with a narrative to discredit all the good work of the Modi government, and they created the atmosphere of deceit, created imaginary side effects of the vaccine and succeeded in creating fear, in the minds of the people, as a result, the vaccination campaign went to its lowest level.

And ironically, now they are crying out for vaccines, and offering free vaccines is their biggest achievement.

What kind of politics are we doing?

Are we not dancing with dead bodies?

People are dying, and we are doing politics.

Why did we lose our humanity and feelings?

Are we human?

By all means, is power the only motive nowadays?

To create false narratives around people, some may take power, but they must remember that time is dynamic in nature, and they must confront what they had to do with others.

The dignity of the nation and the people should be the sole objective of all, rather than fulfilling its political agenda.
