National Pollution Control Day

National Pollution Control Day is observed on 2nd December. It is a mark of respect for children, women, & men who died in Bhopal Gas Tragedy on 2-3 December 1984.

That incident forced us to understand that negligence costs the lives and the lives of many, not just innocent people but innocent birds, animals, and plants.

We cannot keep neglecting like this. Can we? I know not all of us are directly responsible for things like this, but yes, we are responsible for harming our nature in OUR OWN selfish ways. How long do we think Mother Earth will keep tolerating atrocities like these?

Please switch to environment-friendly ways of living. Do what is best for the environment at your level. Do not blame others when somebody asks you not to use plastic bags. Don't tell this classic answer, "Changing my habits alone will not protect the environment", "If I do not use plastic bags, it does not mean others will also stop using plastic bags."

Do what you can do without blaming others or procrastinating.

Schools and colleges can contribute a lot. These places have a huge consumption of papers, by switching to cloud-based school management software, they can reduce the consumption of papers by more than 98%. That will be a huge relief for our trees. It is my humble request to principals and teachers to think about this issue and do what they think is right for our precious environment.
