Nedbank Namibia honors long-serving employees at annual Long-service Award Ceremony
Nedbank Namibia hosted its annual Long-service Award Ceremony at the Nedbank Campus in Windhoek earlier this month.
The event honoured employees who had achieved service milestones ranging from 5–35 years, recognising their invaluable contributions to the bank’s growth and success.
The ceremony brought together employees, executives, and special guests in a heartfelt celebration of loyalty and excellence. Employees received certificates of appreciation and personalised gifts, symbolising the bank’s gratitude for their years of dedicated service.
In her keynote address, Nedbank Namibia Managing Director Martha Murorua expressed profound appreciation for the awardees, stating: 'It is truly an honour to stand before you tonight, in celebration of one of the most significant gatherings on our calendar – the Nedbank Long-service Awards. This occasion is not just about milestones; it is about the people behind those milestones – the people who are the very heartbeat of Nedbank Namibia. We recognise the remarkable commitment, resilience and unwavering loyalty of Nedbank employees who have dedicated their time and talent to this organisation.'
Murorua added that many of the improvements that Nedbank Namibia has implemented have come directly from feedback shared by employees.
'In recent years, some of the most impactful changes – ranging from the introduction of the campus wellness facility to the implementation of our Staff Banking Department – were inspired by Nedbank Employees,' Murorua said.
The Long-service Award Ceremony is an integral part of the Nedbank Namibia Employee Recognition Programme, which highlights the bank’s dedication to fostering a culture of appreciation, engagement and loyalty. Events like these serve as a reminder of the values of the bank and its commitment to building a legacy of excellence through its people.
