Nervous about why your ideal clients aren't finding you?

Nervous about why your ideal clients aren't finding you?

I know you want clients who know the value of your service and are ready to invest BEFORE they ever get on a call with you.

Nervous about not finding the right clients?  Or nervous about why your ideal clients are not finding you?

Someone in The Conquer Network free group said they joined because they wanted help to get more quality paying clients.

This translates to me as "getting ideal clients to find them."

So, let me start with a story...

"Are you anti-niche"?

When I first started my therapy practice, I wanted to SAVE everyone or anyone.

It was #businessnanxiety, "What if this is the wrong niche?"

It was #salesanxiety, "Does anyone even want this niche?"

It was #FOMO "What if I have a niche and I don't attract enough clients or miss out on clients?"

I also had #socialanxiety and #socialmediaanxiety but that's another article.

Creating a niche felt scary. It felt wrong.

How does it FEEL to you?

Being trained as a therapist that does social good, it felt, like I was excluding people or denying access.

But I didn't understand branding or marketing AT ALL back then.

What having a niche did, was made me MORE ACCESSIBLE, EASILY IDENTIFIABLE, and VALID to the people who were desperately seeking this specific kind of support.

"Service-Based Entrepreneurs with high-functioning anxiety or depression, running online businesses, and need help with work-life alignment."

Or as I used to say

"Go from emotional mess to business success."

If you're still anti-niche and committed to being a "generalist" think of the difference between "Walmart" and "Target", verrrrry different vibe right?

Anyway, today, I can honestly say, I'm thankful that 9 of 10 of my clients are my ideal client. Whew, it took me a while to get there. It was not easy. I aspire to reach 10 of 10.

I thought maybe some of you were also trying to have your ideal clients FIND YOU!

Here are some questions to ask yourself?

1. What is your visibility on social media? Does #socialmediaanxiety stop you from showing up consistently?

2. Do you have a niche/target audience/specialized service? Are you explicit in your messaging?

3. Can someone easily identify if you can help them based on your online presence?

4. What will someone find when they Google your name and/or business?

Google yourself

This will help you learn how you need to improve your online presence, your niche, and your message to get more paying clients.

The first time I did a thorough Google search, I found I was featured in a CNBC article about the importance of mental health peer support.

Sometimes I do a Google search on my name and my brand, to see what's there.

Even though I have Google alerts set up, I may miss something.

Yesterday I did a Google search and found that my name and The Conquer Network were mentioned in an article about "therapists for black entrepreneurs."

They were able to mention me in an article because I was visible on the internet and my message was clear.

I'm an "entrepreneur therapist" but ...

My micro-niche is "Black female therapist for black entrepreneurs with online service-based businesses, struggling with high-functioning mental health."

Yes, I do work with people of ALL races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and nationalities, but they are ALL service-based professionals and entrepreneurs, with high-functioning mental health.

But it feels great knowing that when #blackentrepreneurs are looking for mental health support they can find #senecawilliamstherapy and #theconquernetwork.

It's me. I'm anti-niche. 😂 On a serious note, I think it takes some time of doing different things to figure out your niche.
