A Network of Good Hearts

As the holiday season brings warmth and joy to our communities, so does our Renewal by Andersen network. What a great time to shine a light on some of the incredible giving initiatives of this group of Difference Makers. Here are just a few of the markets that have been hard at work spreading joy this holiday season. 

The Birner Group

The Birner Group, Renewal By Andersen has a long-standing tradition of collecting gifts for kids through The Salvation Army ’s Angel Tree program, a tradition they have upheld for the past seven years. This year, they adapted to the new Toy Town program, collecting gifts in July and December. In addition to the gift drive, the team volunteered at Toy Town, helping parents select gifts, organizing donations, and assisting with gift wrapping. 

“Giving gifts and volunteering during the holidays feels good,” said Erica Steen Brasken, Renewal Cares Ambassador for The Birner Group. “It’s an opportunity to help balance the scales, help those that might not be able to create that special something for their kids… it helps to keep that magic alive for the families we support.” 

Renewal by Andersen of Southwest Florida 

For their first-ever Renewal Cares initiative, Renewal by Andersen of Southwest Florida supported their local Ronald McDonald House Charities ’s Holiday Wish List program. The team collected toys and games for children of all ages, along with some clothing items. 

“The holidays can be a very challenging time of year for some people,” said Michelle Morales , Internal Operations Supervisor for Renewal by Andersen of Southwest Florida. “This was a great opportunity for our team to come together as one and align in the spirit of giving.” 

Renewal by Andersen of Central New York 

A couple of our teammates in Central New York have partnered up to volunteer as bell ringers once a week throughout the month of December for the Salvation Army, ringing at a local mall. Thanks for your commitment to giving back, Heidi and Jasmyne! 

“This was so fulfilling!” said Heidi Hackett , Renewal Cares Ambassador for Renewal By Andersen of Central New York . “We rang at the mall, made friends, and saw first-hand how giving people can be during the holidays.”
