Never Too Much

Never Too Much

It’s not the end of the year yet, but I’m already reflecting.

This year was the first for the Build to Enough brand, and I spent much of it deciding whether this platform would serve accountants or service providers. I knew that the idea of deciding your enough and capping there instead of forcing growth beyond it was an important message on both sides of the aisle, but I got caught up in conversations about specific audiences and not listening to myself in believing that it could be successful without choosing.

After a recent TEDx intensive with Emem Washington, JD, LL.M , I realized the answer was: don’t choose.

So I choose both.

Ultimately, Build to Enough will have two different lanes + resources. We'll soon have buttons on the homepage to choose your own adventure - service providers, accountants, and speaker requests. And while each podcast or blog will focus on service providers overall, I'll make sure specific nuggets and episodes for my fellow number crunchers. After all, my peers have a special place in my heart.

Across the board there will be a common theme:

Growing to small is still growth.

So next year, a major focus will be consistency on this. I don't want to be a coach or run a membership - after all, I already have a job lol. So I'll focus on writing and recording, and additionally use the spaces I create to continue recommend resources, groups, and places where you can get the 1:1 attention you need to thrive.

I'm excited already about what is to come. And more than anything, looking forward to getting back into my own head - instead of focusing on the "right way", I'll focus on mine ♥️

This Week's Updates

🎙️On the Pod

I'm sure we've all made the mistake of trying to hire like big corporations as small businesses. On the latest Build to Enough episode, HR expert Kira La Forgia, MA-OM reveals why traditional hiring advice fails small businesses—and what actually works instead.

We talk about how a unique culture attracts better talent than competing on salary, how to budget realistically for new hires (including the costs nobody talks about!), and what makes small business hiring fundamentally different. Must-listen for both service providers and firm owners ready to grow their teams intentionally.

🔮 What's next?

I'll be preparing for next year's podcast episodes, and getting consistent with the newsletter (which may be moving from LinkedIn 👀).

Also, I'm writing a book.

I know.

Crazy goals.

Crazy faith.

🛠️ What else?

Now that I'm staying home more often, I get to spend time on one my favorite things: making my house a home. I am always down for a DIY or home project and next up on the list is bookshelves in my office. I'll give you an update on how it's going in the next write-up. Stay tuned!
