The new Association will work to unlock the growth and prosperity of Croatian manufacturing industry in international markets
Fifteen SMEs, large companies and KONČAR came together at the end of June in Zagreb and founded the Process Manufacturing and Technology Association (PMTA). The newly established association aims to strengthen the position and further the growth of manufacturing in Croatia, an industry which significantly adds to the stability and development of the economy in times of hardship and unpredictable crises. Employers in process manufacturing and technology have been facing unprecedented disruptions with soaring prices of energy, a serious threat that can compromise the future of their businesses. Led by the idea that responding to these rising challenges, business risks and uncertainties can come only through active involvement, the founding members of the Association have been prompted to take initiative and act together. The association supports the work of all other associations which work towards economic progress of Croatia, and membership criteria does not exclude members from any other association, but rather complements it with a special focus on the processing industry.
The process manufacturing industry generates approximately a quarter of the income realised in the real sector and creates a quarter of jobs in the sector. The companies in the industry account for more than 80 percent of the total exports and they are the driving force in research and development, innovation, investments and exports. Working together we can successfully and efficiently create a better Croatian process manufacturing industry and technology.
