New Chapter: Joining Phoenix Design Aid as Director of External Relations

After more than 20 years of advocating for humanitarian causes and crafting global communication strategies, I am excited to share a new chapter in my professional life: joining Phoenix Design Aid A/S and its Foundation as Director of External Relations. This is not just another role for me—it is a continuation of my life’s work, rooted in passion, purpose, and drive to make a real impact in the world.

For those of you who know me, you know that ConnectAID , the International Solidarity Network I founded, has been everything to me for the past seven years. With my wonderful team, we built a network that connects nonprofit organizations with the resources and support they needed to amplify their missions and scale their impact. We have reached millions, driven action for the  Sustainable Development Goals ( #SDGs ) , and worked with some of the most dedicated humanitarians out there.

Phoenix Design Aid A/S , under the leadership of Dennis Lundoe Nielsen , is a global leader in serving the United Nations, the European Union, and NGOs worldwide. With Long-Term Agreements in place with both the UN and EU and offices in Denmark, Spain, Panama, and Kenya, they provide a range of services including strategic messaging, graphic design, multimedia production, AI solutions, and event management. Whether it is supporting an organization’s sustainability report or designing materials for an international campaign, PDAid does it with a level of commitment and creativity that mirrors my own. It is an agency that lives and breathes purpose—and that’s why joining them feels so right.

This opportunity allows me to apply everything I have learned—whether as a UN Spokesperson, UNICEF communication expert, or CEO of ConnectAID—to an organization whose work I greatly admire.

Operating out of Geneva, the heart of international diplomacy and humanitarian work, this new role offers huge possibilities. Geneva, often referred to as " la Genève Internationale," is home to a vast number of UN agencies, NGOs, and international organizations, and I am excited to be part of that world once again— this time armed with fresh ideas and renewed passion.

Joining PDAid is not just a professional move; it is personal. I am here to contribute to something bigger than myself. As Director of External Relations, I will be focusing on strategic outreach, developing new partnerships, and ensuring that PDAid and its Foundation continue to empower international organizations with best-in-class communication services.
