The New Norm of Work

The New Norm of Work

While we stepped into one of the biggest pandemics that the world has witnessed, as an organization it became imperative for us to keep employee safety and health as a #1 priority along with ensuring that all the employees are geared up for WFH.

Primarily being an organization driven by #LiveAmbitionBreatheCare which our employee value proposition, there was conjecture on how we shall drive this to succeed. Its commendable how our employees stepped up and took to the challenge to ensure that we work together to fight this battle, to ensure not just safety of our employees but also that we embrace the work from home situation and do the absolute best for our customers and partners. Our leaders have played a pivotal role in ensuring that their teams are settled in the WFH concept by connecting with their people over calls, interactions and engagement through various online platforms. These have been critical as a long gap away from office leads to cognitive dissonance and even alienation. Communication has been the key and has been even more important as an effective tool in these Social distancing times.

In light of such a situation it was essential that we as a team knew how each and every employee is doing. We decided to connect with all of them to understand on the well- being of them and of their families, and if they required any support or assistance from us. We are happy to say that all our employees are safe and healthy and mostly with their families. It was an absolute pleasure doing this activity as it really gave us insights into employee morale and problems they might be facing to try and facilitate better possible solutions for the same.

In times like this while we are all cooped up at home trying to make the best of the situation and keep, “business as usual”, we need to care for our physical and mental wellness as well; after all we believe that #CareBeginsKhudSe. For the same we are running various initiatives across the company of fitness sessions, dietary tips and remaining active. Our employees already had access to employee assistance program 'ReachOut', wherein they can connect with counsellors for personal or emotional support.

As a country we are still walking on the path to recovery. Let’s strive to empathize with each other, help each other out and most importantly extend a hand of care to all those whose require it. Together we shall emerge stronger from this, and who knows this Work From Home, could be the single golden takeaway from this situation and be the new norm!
