The new normal

The New Normal…This is where we all are today.

Usually this term is used in business and economics to refer to financial conditions. In the wake of Covid-19 the New Normal refers to changes in consumer’s behaviour after the pandemic. Most of us have to change our daily routine and this includes limiting contacts like handshakes and maintaining an appropriate distance from others.

In this situation what would be the New Normal for our networking events as they will be one of the levers to get back to business?

Well, at networking events there is no workaround for meeting people to exchange ideas, get inspired and conclude deals to grow our activities. But we’ll do it differently. We’ll keep gathering, virtually or during in-person events, because keeping a one-meter distance from each other will not prevent us from running our companies.

We’ll keep meeting relevant people, because wearing masks can not prevent us from talking to the person who will have the best solution to grow our revenue. We’ll keep learning from others, maybe in a different way because, being aware of what will be the new future of our industries will be the only way to shape our next steps.

The New Normal…

We’ll probably increase our virtual professional communication during the coming months and when the question of business trips will come up again, choices will be made. We’ll still attend B2B events because we will need them but we will be more selective. For budget purposes but also because this New Normal leads us to take a step back and define our priorities.

We’ll attend networking events but only the ones which give us mindful content, allow us to meet the best service providers to face the future together and the most brilliant minds to bring our businesses to the next level. We seek out the crème de la crème of business events because we will not be able to afford less.

Welcome to the New Normal!
