New Opportunities with Career Exploration and Success
I am pleased to announce that we were given permission to fill some positions within the Office of Career Exploration and Success (CES) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. We seek four experienced and energetic professionals to join our team as:
Full position descriptions are below. Our staff of 39 full-time professionals and seven graduate coordinators are committed to assisting nearly 50,000 students with making connections between their academic experience and career pursuits.
Program Director, Career Interest Communities:
Reporting to the associate director of Career Interest Communities, the program director is an integral part of developing and implementing the career community ecosystem. The role includes overseeing the career interest communities, managing campus partner advisory boards, connecting students with exploration and networking opportunities through alumni mentorship and engagement, and providing tailored programming and advising services. The program director will oversee the Education, Human Services, and Non-Profit Career Community, the Law; Public Health, Policy, and Safety Career Community, and more (full description).
Assistant Director, Rutgers Summer Service Internship Program:
Reporting to the director for Career Development and Experiential Education in Career Exploration and Success with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Eagleton Institute of Politics director of Alumni Relations and Undergraduate Associates Program, the program director will oversee experiential education programming connected with the university-wide Rutgers Summer Service (RSS) Internship Program. RSS will annually place up to 150 Rutgers sophomore and junior students in paid public service internships—and hopefully more in years to come. This program will allow university students, including those who otherwise could not afford to pursue service opportunities, the means to do so while broadening their perspectives on societal challenges and enhancing civic engagement. Selected students shall participate in a summer internship experience at a non-profit or government public service organization and participate in a concurrent virtual course. Associate Director, Operations: UHR Application Deadline Passed
Reporting to the Director of Career Operations and Strategic Initiatives, the Associate Director will lead a team consisting of the Assistant Director for Outcomes & Assessment, Web Developer, and Senior Assistant Director for Administration. The incumbent will have direct oversite of front office operations in two locations, expand online career resources, work with staff to develop best practices in strategic implementation of projects, and be a vital member of the Career Exploration and Success Management Team.
