TRACK REVIEW

JIMMY LINDSAY - ‘SPECIAL’

A return to the reggae arena from this respectable reggae chart artist Jimmy Lindsay from the 70’s.

Jimmy Lindsay enjoyed success with two No.1 singles ‘Easy’ and ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ reaching the national charts.

As a respectable chart artist in his day, he toured the U.K. and Europe and recorded a televised concert in Germany on the concert series ‘Rockpalast’.

As a singer/songwriter he has a back catalogue of many self penned songs….in and amongst them was this composition ‘Special’.

After spending time in the studio re-recording this track he chose to schedule his new release to coincide with this year’s ‘Valentines Day’.

Written during his younger years, the lyric of song reflects a personal bittersweet lament as he unravels the love and regret during a time of deep emotional reflection….a personal lesson to assist his emotional growth.

The melody and vibe zones in on groove that sways a mellow Lover’s Rock ballad.

There is a hypnosis in Jimmy’s vocals which incorporates a level of lament delivering his message with sincerity.

For those who connect, especially with the sentiment of the lyrical content and melody, you will be hitting the replay button.

It serves as a mutual message for those who identify with the lyrics and melodic delivery.

This single is scheduled for official release on ‘Valentine’s Day’.

If you connect with the message from the lyric and the melody, reach for the purchase.

Whether you hold a long relationship or nurturing new love….this is certainly worth a listen.
