New Year, New Book

New Year, New Book

In about a week, I’ll travel to Las Vegas for CES® 2019. There, I’ll not only get to witness some of the world’s most cutting-innovations and talk with some of its most visionary leaders, but I’ll get to make my own contribution to the conversation as we unveil CTA’s new book.

Ninja Future: Secrets to Success in the New World of Innovation” is my guide for how to succeed in the rapid-fire, high-tech world of the future. Its core argument is that those who “think like ninjas” are those who won’t just thrive in the world to come, but who will ultimately help shape it.

“Thinking like a ninja” has been a mantra of mine for many years. To me, a ninja is someone who harnesses the same kind of speed, savvy, ingenuity and adaptability that characterized the ninja warriors of ancient Japan. This can be an individual, but it doesn’t have to be: “Ninja” attributes apply to people, companies, products and even entire nations.

The book gives an overview of these different groups, highlighting how ninja innovators are making the world a brighter, bolder place. It offers strategies that empower individuals and groups to prepare for the disruptive changes that innovation will usher in. Above all, it casts a vision – a vision of a free, fair and flourishing world where anyone with an idea and the drive to see it through can make a difference.

Over the next few posts, I’ll share some brief excerpts from the book. I’ve picked them out because they offer a clear, concise glimpse of that vision.

A new year is coming and with it new opportunities and possibilities. I invite you to read along and hope you’ll get a sense of what a new “ninja” year could look like for you.
