New Year, New Site
I've finally done it. After four years, I've streamlined, simplified, redesigned, reimagined, and replaced my personal website. Why? Too much free time? Obsessive-compulsiveness? Masochism? The answer is, to make my life easier. One of my 2016 New Year's resolutions is to strive to put less stress on myself. Technically speaking, this involves reducing unnecessary work & recoding. Like all good resolutions, it is best to start with the man in the mirror, in this case the digital mirror, to see change. A simple layout. Responsive design, prefetching and caching, LinkedIn integrations, lightweight pages means less time coding and debugging, and more time writing. My 2015 goal of posting 4 times a month was never achieved in part due to the time I spent plugging holes and squashing bugs, which I hope is not the case this year. Focus less on the forest and more on the trees to become more efficient.
With this aside, I will leave it up to you to visit and leave feedback. Tell me what works, what doesn't, what you like and think I should add. My goal is to post once and syndicate to platforms like LinkedIn, thereby increasing viewability exponentially. Any and all comments are appreciated.
