Optimizing and printing an upright suspension for Zenvo
Last year, the Danish car manufacturer, Zenvo Automotive A/S, succeded in optimizing and 3D printing the suspension upright for one of their hand built hypercars - as the first in Denmark. This happened with help from the additive manufacturing specialists at the Danish Technological Institute as part of the DfAM Green design optimization course, which was initiated by Danish AM Hub.
John Deere uses 3D printing for spare parts
The future for legendary tractor manufacturer John Deere involves 3D printing of spare parts.
The concept of making the inventory (partly) digital and quickly printing parts locally and on demand is one of the many obvious benefits of additive manufacturing.
3D printing provides better utilization of district heating in Heatflows evaporator
Additive manufacturing can help save energy and thus contribute to the transition towards a greener society. The Danish company Heatflow ApS is a great example of that - thanks to 3D printing and design optimization, they achieved a high-performing component, while reducing the lifecycle CO2-emissions by 10%
New EU project will enhance laser manufacturing
Earlier in January, the Danish Technological Institute had the great pleasure of hosting the kick-off meeting for a new, Horizon Europe-funded project called DILAPRO( short for DIgital LAser PROduction). The aim of the project is to enhance laser manufacturing, including additive manufacturing, through digital tools such as digital twins to improve planning, online monitoring and certification of parts.
