NICE Draft Guidelines: An update from The Menopause Consortium 🔍
Dear Community,
We wanted to keep you informed about the latest developments at The Menopause Consortium (TMC). On Friday, we received the NICE draft guideline consultation on menopause: diagnosis and management, spanning from 17/11/2023 to 05/01/2024.
Our clinical team is currently immersed in a thorough review of the documents, carefully considering each aspect to provide a comprehensive and well-informed response. As stakeholders for NICE, we take our responsibility seriously and are committed to ensuring that the guidelines align with the best interests of patients.
In the spirit of transparency, we wish to clarify that we will not be making any public comments until all the documents have been thoroughly reviewed, our comments have been submitted, and the final draft has been received. This approach ensures that our insights are based on a comprehensive understanding of the guidelines and allows us to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing discourse.
At TMC, we firmly believe in a whole-person approach to menopause care, championing the well-being of patients. As we engage in this important process, our focus remains on advocating for policies and guidelines that prioritise the holistic needs of individuals navigating the complexities of menopause.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we work diligently to contribute to the shaping of guidelines that reflect the diverse needs of those experiencing menopause. Together, let's advance a compassionate and comprehensive approach to menopause care.
