Nike x LEGO (Generative AI concepts)

Nike x LEGO (Generative AI concepts)

Two of our all-time favorite brands, Nike and the LEGO Group , have recently announced an exciting long-term partnership.

This collaboration merges the worlds of sportswear and creative building blocks, opening up limitless possibilities for generative AI concepts.

Inspired by this news, we decided to use the latest AI workflows from our social media workshops to brainstorm some fun new ideas!

Our first concept combines a distinctive style reference with a personalisation code, maintaining a vibrant and unified colour palette in Midjourney.

This technique ensures a consistent and thematic appearance throughout the entire collection.

Monster Kicks Collection:

Monster Kicks: Moodboard 1

Building on this concept, we extended this vibrant colour palette to standard Nike shoes as well. By infusing the bold hues and playful designs of the Monster Kicks Collection into traditional Nike footwear, we aimed to craft striking sneakers that embody the fun and creativity of the collaboration, offering a fresh and unique spin on classic Nike designs.

Using an AI image-to-video workflow we blended between a few of these concepts

Our second concept also employed a distinctive style reference to maintain a cohesive color palette in Midjourney. This time, the style reference featured a fluid aesthetic with marble and paint sweep keywords and a gold reflective appearance.

Marbled Makeover Minifigures:

For our third concept, and just for fun, we explored a minimalistic aesthetic with an almost surreal look & colour palette, blending photorealism with pixel art for a unique visual effect.

Of the three concepts we developed for this newsletter, our favourite is Monster Kicks.

However, we also loved the idea of creating minifigures to pair with some of these Monster Kicks, so we put together a few more moodboards to explore this idea further.

In the next moodboard, we added more Kicks using a 4:5 aspect ratio in the top right corner.

We loved the look of these regular Nike kicks with a monster makeover, so we created an entire moodboard featuring classic Nikes with this monster palette makeover, inspired by the output when making this moodboard:

Regular Kicks (Non LEGO) with the monster colour pallete we created applied:

We liked these so much that we made a 2nd version using even more classic Nikes:

There were a few other options we considered for a main header image for this newsletter too:
